New Fall Lipsticks: MAC, NARS and Armani Beauty
I think changing up your lipstick is the quickest way to change your vibe. Think about it, do you feel differently when you're wearing a red lipstick compared to a nude? What about black lipstick? Or blue lipstick? Totally different vibes. So, now that it's full on fall, I wanted to share some of the new fall lipsticks that I've been reaching for lately.I'm loving these new fall lipsticks, not only for the colors, but also for the unique formulas. I have some everyday nudes and pinks and some bold reds, so I could get through the season with just these 4 new ones. But we all know I won't stop with these LOL.
First up, I'm gonna talk about Toast and Butter from MAC's new "Liptensity" line. This lipstick formula is ultra-pigmented and creamy. It also has a little bit of a sheen finish, so it's a nice alternative to the super matte liquid lipstick trend that's still going strong. You may remember from this post on my Brown Lipstick Makeup Tutorial.
Toast and Butter is a really pretty cool-toned nude. And since the formula is so smooth and comfortable, it's something that I've just been keeping in my bag to throw on whenever. I don't have to worry too much about whether or not it goes with the rest of my makeup. It just works.Next, I have my favorite of these new fall lipsticks - NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound. This formula is so unique. It has really rich pigment, but it's somewhat glossy. I think it's the perfect cross between a lip gloss and a liquid lipstick. And Bound is a very flattering medium pink.
Last, I have two liquid lipsticks from Armani Beauty - the Lip Maestro in 201* and 400.* These are definitely the most pigmented of the new fall lipsticks that I have here. The color is insane, which is what you'd expect from such a high end makeup brand.
Shade 400 is a bright fire engine red and 201 is more of a deep, blood red. Both are gorgeous. If you're a red lipstick lover, you might need one (or both actually). Wear time is impressive, but they aren't 100% transfer-proof.Here are some swatches:
