New Fall Makeup | MAC, Sephora & ABH
I haven't bought too much lately, mainly because the holidays are right around the corner and I have a big trip coming up, but I couldn't help but add a little new fall makeup to my stash. It's only fair, right?First up, I bought a couple of concealers from Sephora Collection. About a month ago, I asked for concealer recommendations at the end of my Brown Lipstick Tutorial, and someone recommend the Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer. I picked up shades 12.5 and 13 and I really like the consistency. The texture is what you'd expect from a "gel serum", so it's thin and pretty blendable. The Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer certainly isn't a full coverage type of concealer that will cover intense under-eye darkness, but it works for me.I like that it's light weight and doesn't feel cakey. I also like the two shades that I bought. Shade 12.5 - Praline is a tan with a pink undertone. It has a nice salmon undertone, which is exactly what I look for to cancel out darkness under my eyes. Shade 13 - Creme Caramel is a tan with a yellow undertone. This is more of a match to my skin color, so it works on days when I don't have a ton of darkness, and I am looking to brighten my under eye area.Next up, I have a couple of new products from MAC - Liptensity lipstick and Studio Fix Correcting Stick. I already talked about the new Liptensity lipstick in my last post on New Fall Lipsticks, so I won't say too much here. The formula is awesome and the color is a perfect everyday nude for me.Here's a picture of it swatched with the other lipsticks:The other new item is the MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Perfecting Stick in NC45. I bought this thinking it would be a quick and easy concealer, and it is. It's really smooth and blendable, and the color is a great match. My only issue is that it seems to crease a lot. I'm not sure if I'm applying it too heavily, or what. I'm going to try to make it work, but I may end up returning it. If anyone has tried this and gotten it to work well, let me know!Last, I have the star of this new fall makeup mini haul - the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario. I got nothing but love for this palette because it's just so smooth and blendable, and the colors are so versatile. I have more swatches and a tutorial in this First Impressions post, but I'll post some pictures here too.I haven't bought as much makeup in the last couple of months, but I'm loving everything that I have here and think they're all great everyday items. I will have reviews of the foundations that I mentioned in my fall foundations post coming soon, too.Let me know what you've added to your makeup stash lately in the comments!
