Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette in Darya
I'm almost ashamed to admit how long I let Natasha Denona's Diamond & Blush Palette sit on my vanity before I tried it. I mean it's so beautiful, luxurious and expensive. I knew that this was going to be a blog-worthy purchase, so I wanted to take pictures before I tried it. Of course that prolonged the waiting period, but when I finally tested it out, I knew this was worth the hype (and the money). The Diamond & Blush Palette has six coordinating blushes and highlighters in a range of finishes that can be worn alone or layered. The shades are within the same color family, but there are enough variations in the tones that you won't get bored with the palette.First row (left to right)
- Glow Cream Base. Sheer, buildable warm gold cream highlighter.
- Cream Blush. Bright pink cream blush. Although this is quite pink, there's enough coral in it to make it more wearable on my skintone.
- Duo Glow. Stunning duochrome cool-toned pink with champagne reflects. This is such a unique color!
Second row (left to right)
- Diamond Powder. Sheer sparkly gold. This is a wearable, more sophisticated glitter. I think this would be beautiful layered over eyeshadow or highlighter.
- Powder Blush. Pigmented mid-tone pink blush with champagne/gold shimmer.
- Glow Extreme. High sheen champagne highlighter. This is much more flattering on my skin than I'd anticipated. I was worried it was too cool-toned but it's actually gorgeous.
I like that this palette has everything that you'd need for blush and highlighter. As long as you're into pinks and golds, this is amazing. All of the products can be applied with a light hand for a subtle glowy look, or they can be layered for a blinding look. At first I thought that the Glow Extreme would only work for an intense highlight look, but as you can see in the pictures below, it can give you a really pretty look that's not over-the-top at all. Most of my highlighters are on the warm side, so it's nice to add a few neutral/cool highlighters to my collection. It’s called balance. Honestly, I was worried the highlight shades might not work on my skintone, but I was pleasantly surprised.Yes, at $89 this palette is expensive. No, you don't need it. But, it's a stunning and incredibly unique mix of colors and finishes. If you're looking for something that's versatile yet stunning, you might wanna check this out. **Pro Tip: I'd wait until Sephora's spring sale that's usually in April and use that 15% discount.**And here's a quick makeup look wearing the Diamond & Blush Palette:[one_half padding="5px 5px 5px 5px"][/one_half][one_half_last padding="5px 5px 5px 5px"][/one_half_last]
If pinks aren't your thing, there's another palette called Citrus that has warmer peach/coral tones that's just as beautiful.Would you splurge on the Diamond Blush Palette? Let me know your thoughts! SaveSaveSaveSave
