ColourPop Lux Lipstick Swatches
If you've been reading this blog for a while, then you already know that I'm a huge fan of ColourPop Cosmetics. Their eyeshadows and cream highlighters are amazing. They make one of the most perfect nude lipglosses for brown skin, and they're super affordable. A couple of weeks ago, they announced their new Lux Lipstick line. At first, I was kind of underwhelmed because they already have a wide range of Lippie Stix, which are basically skinny lipsticks (first mentioned on the blog in this post). I thought the Lux Lipsticks would be redundant and more of what they already had, but...

Seriously, these lipsticks are very creamy and smooth. Plus the color payoff is incredible, as you'll see below. They're infused with hydrating oils, and you can tell when you apply these. The Lux Lipsticks actually feel like high end lipsticks. And the packaging is on point too.
There are 24 shades in the Lux Lipstick range and I decided to buy some nudes, reds and oranges. I got a little crazy and bought a black lipstick too.
Lux Lipstick - nudes and mauves
Pinkies UpPinkies Up is a neutral pinky-brown. A perfect everyday nude for brown skin.
2727 is a gorgeous mauve that I believe was a limited edition shade that was released only on the first launch. But knowing ColourPop, I wouldn't be surprised if this one came back in stock.[one_half padding="5px 5px 5px 5px"]

[/one_half_last]LA LadyLA Lady is a terra-cotta red. It has a mix of orange, red and pink shades that's super pretty.
LayoverLayover is a muted pink. It's very similar to Pinkies Up, but just a bit more pink.
Uno MasUno Mas is a medium peach that's not too bright, but not too subtle either.
Lux Lipstick - oranges and warm reds
On DisplayOn Display is a bright warm-toned red. This one gives me tropical vibes.
On RepeatOn Repeat is a reddened orange shade. I think this is a shade that will look more orange or more red depending on skin tone.[one_half padding="5px 5px 5px 5px"]

[/one_half_last]FoolishFoolish is a deep orange that looks more red on my lips than it does on my hand. I was surprised at how similar these three colors looked on my lips.
Lux Lipstick - pink, red & black
What IfWhat If is a magenta color that I ended up liking more than I expected.
Liquid CourageLiquid Courage is a deep, cool toned red. I think this is my favorite red shade out of all the ones I picked.
AeronautAeronaut is a deep black that I tried just for fun. This was the one shade that I had to layer to reach opacity and it was a bit streaky.
Every shade is smooth, pigmented and comfortable on the lips, except for Aeronaut. Overall, I highly recommend picking up a few Lux Lipsticks because you definitely can't get anything better for $7.
