If you follow me on Instagram, then you've probably seen some behind the scenes of me shopping for my bathroom remodel plus some pictures of bathroom inspiration.  Demolition just started this week, so I thought it would be fun to show you guys the process. This post is going to be all about the design inspiration, which is probably the best part.  I'll have another post or two about the process and then the final post will have before and after pictures.Thoughts behind the mood board...For my bathroom vanity, I decided that I would keep the existing cabinets and just change the top. But to give the space a new look, I'm going to paint the cabinet a glossy black and add some pretty cabinet knobs. For the shower, I knew I'd be going with white subway tile. For the flooring, I wanted something that was graphic, but on a smaller scale. I narrowed it down to a basket weave tile and small hexagons...you'll have to wait for my next post to see what I decided. The most exciting part, though, is the wallpaper. I've been obsessed with wallpaper in a bathroom since I saw this post. Since the shower is separated by a door from the vanity/sink area, I figured it could be really cool to add some wallpaper behind the mirror.

Pretty early on, I decided that I wanted to stick with black and white for my bathroom remodel. I didn't want anything too quirky because I'm not sure how long I'll be in this condo. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any immediate plans to relocate, but I know this is not my "forever home." So, that means this bathroom remodel should be pretty timeless so that if I decide to rent or sell in the future, it won't turn people off.The other thing that I like about a black and white bathroom is that it's easy to change the vibe just by changing the towels and accessories, so I won't be stuck with any particular color scheme. Here's a look at some of the images that inspired this black and white bathroom remodel:[xyz-ihs snippet="IG-bathroom-inspo"]Inspiration for my bathroom remodel. adiaadores.comAnd here's another example of the vibe I'm going for...Black and white bathroom remodel inspiration. adiaadores.comI found that it was super helpful to create my mood board before I started buying materials and fixtures.  It's really easy to get distracted and bogged down by all the options, so having these images definitely kept me focused.I'm now totally in the thick of things, so I'd LOVE to hear any tips any of you may have.  This is my first remodel, so it's overwhelming dealing with all the choices and moving parts.  Hope you all have been enjoying your weekend and I'll have another beauty post coming this week!
