Current Obsessions: Vol. 5

Current ObsessionsI'm going on a 12-day cruise with my mom in just two weeks, so I'm trying to pick up the last few items I'll need.  I really want to pack light, so I've been looking at palettes and travel sized beauty items.  Here's what I have my eye on...

1. Nike Flyknit running shoes.  Cruises are notorious for having tons of food available and causing nearly double-digit weight gain.  I am not having that, so I'll definitely be bring some running shoes. I like these ones because they're lightweight and look cute enough for sight-seeing.  With the athletic look being super fashionable, I think these would be great for travel.2. NARS Blush/bronzer Duo in Sin/Casino.  A "Current Obsessions" post would not be complete without a NARS product, so here it goes.  Casino is a great bronzer for my NC 45 skin tone and Sin is a pretty berry color with gold shimmer.3. BECCA Ombre Nudes Eye Palette.  I've been looking for a palette of matte nude shades that I could use to complement the shimmery shades that I usually wear.  The only problem is that matte shades can be so stiff and difficult to blend.  I swatched this palette in Sephora a few days ago, and the shades were so creamy and pigmented.  I was really impressed with this and will probably go back and pick it up.4. tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette.  I've been hearing rave reviews about tart's line of blushes, but have never tried them.  However, with this holiday gift set out, I'm thinking it may be time to check out these popular blushes.  I love that there are five shades, so this palette would fulfill all my blush needs (though I'd probably still need to bring a highlighter, but I digress).5. Elizabeth and James Nirvana Mini Rollerball Set. Sabrina over at The Beauty Lookbook has been raving over Nirvana Black, and while I'm usually drawn to more floral and sweet scents, this is a great moody fragrance.  The great thing about this set is that Nirvana White is a lighter, more floral scent so I'm excited to try these.6. Truffle  Clarity Clutch.  I hate the limitations that the TSA has imposed on my travel beauty routine.  How am I supposed to fit hand sanitizer, hand cream, a face mask, cuticle oil, mouthwash, facial spray and a partridge in a pear tree into such a small bag?  Despite the difficulty of complying with insane carry-on rules, the Clarity Clutch makes the final product look incredibly chic.  These bags are so cute, that I'm sure I'd use them even when I'm not traveling to fit my daily essentials in my work tote or gym bag.7. Everlane Twill Backpack.  I haven't worn a backpack since law school, but this one is so cute and chic.  It's really lightweight and has a padded sleeve inside to protect my laptop.  I also like the whole philosophy behind this brand because you know exactly where the product is coming from and where your money is going. What are your travel essentials?
