4 Gorgeous Lavender Eyeshadows to Try This Weekend!

Lavender is such a feminine and pretty color for spring, so here are four beautiful eyeshadows to try right now.  I tend to get into phases with my makeup.  Earlier this year, it was All Pink Everything, but now I'm all into lavender (check out my lip picks here).  It all started with a gorgeous image that I found on Instagram (here).  I loved the model's matte lavender eyeshadow and peachy lips and cheeks.  So of course I became obsessed with replicating the look myself.  My first purchase was a gorgeous shimmery eyeshadow duo from the NARS + Christopher Kane collaboration, Parallel Universe.  But I wasn't done there.  I also added a very pale and very matte lavender shade from one of my current obsessions, Colourpop Cosmetics, Cowboy.NARS has a two other eyeshadow duos that feature lavender, Dolomites and Nouveau Monde, but each shade is different enough to create a different vibe.  These four shades range from very pale to more plum shades. There are also cool and warm colors, so no matter your skin tone or eye color, you'll find a color that will work great on you.  Lavender is especially pretty against brown eyes, but I personally think it's flattering on everyone.

Since I'm focusing on lavender here, I only have swatches of the lavender shades from each NARS duo.  Dolomites is plum with a red undertone and multi-dimensional sparkle.  Parallel Universe is much brighter and has pink sparkles.  This color was layered pretty heavily to swatch and I would recommend a base underneath to prevent fall out.  Nouveau Monde has a very gray tone and is very cool.  Lastly, Cowboy is the only matte shade and it is very pale.  Although it looks chalky, it actually applies very smoothly and feels like butter.  On darker skin tones this would require a bit of work to pull off just because it's such a pale shade, but I could see this looking very pretty and bright on lighter skin tones.
