Best Beauty Products for May 2015
Here's my monthly roundup of the best beauty and makeup products around (or at least the best of what I have). I have a couple of new additions to my makeup stash that were actually pretty awesome. So, here we go...1. Emporio Armani Diamonds. I've actually had this for a couple of years, and I probably only bought it because Beyonce was the spokesmodel. Anyways, I recently started wearing it pretty regularly and I really really like. I'm a sucker for rose fragrances, and I like that this is not your typical rose. It has notes of raspberry, lychee, freesia, rose, muguet, vanilla, cedar, patchouli and vetiver, so it's complex to put it lightly. The freesia makes it feel light and fresh so it's perfect for warmer weather.2. L'oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black. I heard about it because one of my favorite YouTubers, Jackie Aina (mentioned here) raves about it constantly. Since I love drugstore mascaras, I decided to check it out, and it's awesome! It makes my lashes super long and adds volume without clumping. The brush is bomb, too. Plus it's super inexpensive.3. L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in 109 Classic Tan4. Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in 127 Laurier Rose. I already mentioned these eyeshadow sticks (here) and I featured another shade in one of my YouTube videos (here) so y'all already know how I feel about this. It is just a gorgeous color and so easy to apply, so please check this out. They're limited edition!5. Caudalie Purifying Mask. So I first heard about this mask over on The Beauty Look Book and at first wasn't super pressed to get this because I felt my weekly exfoliating was enough. Fast forward like two minutes and I start having major (stress-related) breakouts. Obviously, this called for emergency measures, so I hurried my behind to Sephora to check out this mask. I trust Caudalie and this mask sounded both gentle and effective, so I gave it at try. This really works. It helps clarify my skin and does not dry it out too much, so I definitely recommend this to help deep clean your skin. This will be getting much more use as the summer approaches.6. Scandinavia The Makeup Primer Spray.* Primer sprays are definitely having their moment, so I was intrigued when the brand's PR contacted me about this spray. I gave it a try and it definitely adds a nice primer before foundation. I especially like using it before the L'oreal foundation because it helps it go on more smoothly. I also like that it's silicone-free and definitely helps my makeup last much longer. Check it out in action in my latest YouTube video here.7. Supergoop! Super Defense Refresh Setting Mist with Rosemary. Ok, so this was definitely one of those impulse purchases that I picked up while waiting in a super long line at Sephora. But, I'm glad I picked it up because it's really light and refreshing and it has SPF 50. I tried this the other day before I went for a run and I loved that it didn't run down my face or sting my eyes. This is great to keep in your bag over the summer because it's always good to re-apply sunscreen throughout the day. Plus it won't mess up your makeup, so definitely check this out.Shop the post below:[xyz-ihs snippet="may-favorites"]
