Best Beauty Oils

I love oils, whether face, body or hair.  During the dry, winter months, I especially love to add a good face oil to my skincare regime.  Here are two great ones that I'd definitely recommend.faceoilsfresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil $50 (1.7 oz).  I bought this face oil two New York winters ago when my skin was seriously dehydrated.  This has a really thick texture and a little goes a very long way.  I used this over my normal daytime moisturizer to add extra moisture and was extremely happy with it.  This is very thick, though, so if you prefer lighter feeling skincare, you'll definitely want to skip this.  Now that I'm living in a much more mild climate, I haven't used this at all, but I may use this once a week or so, or while traveling, to deal with seasonal dryness.  If you're looking for a heavy face oil that packs serious moisture, be sure to check this out.According to Nordstrom:A precious blend of pure oils packed with omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9 that absorb quickly to preserve a youthful appearance and provide 24-hour moisture.Key ingredients:- Omega 7 is known to enhance the skin's healing process, 3 helps calm and soothe and omegas 6 and 9 are known to improve elasticity, softness and smoothness.- Seaberry oil, also known as seabuckthorn oil, a powerful antioxidant rich in all of the moisturizing omegas noted for protecting the skin from aging free radicals.- Cranberry seed oil, packed with vitamin E to maintain skin's elasticity and smoothness.- Camellia seed oil to help maintain soft, smooth and supple skin.- Grapeseed oil to help maintain healthy hydration levels. This product is touted for its moisturizing benefits, and I think the heaviness of the product helps to lock in the skin's moisture.  When I use this, my skin is definitely hydrated, but I would be careful if I had more oily or acne-prone skin because this is a pretty heavy product.  Otherwise, it's a great face oil for those with dry skin.Kate Somerville Dilo Oil Restorative Treatment $65 (1.0 oz).  This is a new product that I've been using for about a month now, and I'm really pleased with it.  It has a much lighter texture and I love that it can be used on the hair and body also.  This is much more appropriate for California's mild climate, and I could see someone with normal to dry skin using this year-round.According to Nordstrom:Firmer skin with each precious drop. Dilo oil from Fiji is cherished for multiple restorative benefits that promote healthier-looking skin. Rich in essential natural lipids that work in harmony with the skin's own lipid layer, Fiji Dilo oil is a fast-absorbing oil and helps strengthen the skin's moisture barrier improving skin hydration, firmness and elasticity while evening skin tone and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.Additional features and benefits:- Lupin seed and marine extracts help maintain firmness, suppleness and smoothness.- Omega 3, 6 and 9 promote healthier-looking skin and enhance the skin's moisture barrier, replenishing and restoring elasticity.- Pumpkin seed extract conditions, moisturizes and provides nutritive benefits.- Antioxidant rice bran and rosemary leaf extracts protect against free radical damage.I can't speak for the anti-aging benefits just yet, but it definitely improves the look and feel of my skin and it is super fast-absorbing, so there is no greasy feeling at all.  I rarely wear this during the day, but I could see this working well under makeup just because it does not leave a greasy finish.  Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a lighter face oil.Shop the products below:[xyz-ihs snippet="face-oils"]
