Week In Makeup | New York City

This week turned out to be a whirlwind.  I hopped on a redeye to New York City on Wednesday night, so all of the week's work got crammed into just three days.  I'm so happy to be in NYC hanging with my friends and soaking up the city's energy. So without further ado, here's my Week In Makeup.

what i wore

I FINALLY broke out my Tartlette In Bloom eyeshadow palette along with a Tarte blush palette for this trip to New York.  I've had them both for a while but I wanted to save them for a special occasion.  Yes, you read that right.  I am 100% crazy.  I've also been wearing the MAC Cosmetics Soft Serve Shadows (reviewed in this post on MBB) and they are soo good!For my trip to New York City, I decided to bring the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint because the coverage is pretty good and it lasts a long time.  Plus I wasn't sure what the weather would be like here, so I didn't want to pack a base that was too glowy.

Haven't had much time for YouTube this week, but I managed to fit in Jaclyn Hill's latest tutorial on contouring and highlighting. It's a good one.

what i bought

Well....speaking of Jaclyn Hill, I managed to snag her latest collaboration with Becca Cosmetics - the Champagne Glow palette!!It actually should be arriving today, but I'm out of town!!! I will probably film a quick little first impressions video and upload it before it's available for purchase again on May 26.I also bought the Kate Somerville EradiKate To-Go Acne Treatment Swabs while waiting for my friend to meet me for drinks last night.  The bar (Catch) was super crowded and there was a Sephora right next door, so y'all know what I did to pass the time ;-).  I bought these because I always manage to get a pimple when I travel.  Not sure if it's the dry airplane air, or the stress of traveling, but this always happens.  So I'm going to give these a try and I'll report back.So...what your week like?
