Week in Makeup | Kylie Cosmetics & MAC x Chris Chang
I'm a sucker for pretty packaging. And limited edition products. And Instagram trends. In my first post in what will (hopefully) be a weekly series, I'm sharing my Week In Makeup. Basically, each week I'll chat about the makeup that I've been reaching for most, what I loved on IG, what I watched on YouTube and what new makeup I added to my stash. I've noticed some similar posts like this in the blogs lately, and I love reading them. Hopefully you guys will love reading this, and feel free to share your week in makeup too!
What I Wore
Well I actually kept it pretty simple with my makeup this week. I started testing some Buxom liquid lipsticks for MakeupAndBeautyBlog.com. I can't go into too much detail now, but I can say that I really like how comfortable these are so far! I've also been reaching for this Dior BB Creme a lot lately. Good coverage and super quick to apply.
What I Watched
Hey Claire has one of my favorite YouTube channels, so I loved watching her April Makeup Favorites. BTW, did you check out my April Favorites video?
What I Bought
Now for the good part! So I totally fell victim to the Kylie Cosmetics craze and broke down and bought two metallic matte lipsticks in Reign and King K. And I hate to say it, but they're pretty damn good, especially Reign. Here I am wearing Kylie Cosmetics Metal Matte Lipstick in Reign, Becca Cosmetics Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation in Warm Honey (LOVE this foundation), MAC Blush in Ambering Rose, Tom Ford Cream Eyeshadow in Spice, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown.I also decided to pick up the cream colour blushes from the MAC x Chris Chang collaboration that recently launched. I got Peony Pavilion (hot pink), Sockit Xiqu (dirty lavender) and Rich Coral (orange). I love Peony Pavilion and Rich Coral because they're bright and pigmented and have pretty solid lasting power. But I'm thinking I may be returning Sockit Xiqu though because it's such a pale color. Since these products are only meant to be worn on the cheeks, I don't think Sockit Xiqu is something that is going to work for me.So...it's your turn now. How was the week for you?
