How To Wear White Ankle Booties | Outfit Inspiration
I stepped way out of my comfort zone and bought these rocker-chic white ankle booties at the Nordstrom Sale. Like I said last week, I love ankle booties, but I usually stick for more classic styles. I'm just not edgy. Damn it kinda hurt to write that because I'd love to be more of a badass. Truth is, I typically wear more feminine and minimal styles (like the ones I mentioned in this post). Very California girl. Not very grungy / rocker. But when I saw these white ankle booties in the Nordstrom Sale catalog, I fell in love. And after stalking nordstrom.com for days waiting for my size to become available, I finally got them. There's nothing like the thrill of getting a good deal, you know? When they arrived, I was somewhat less thrilled. They seemed so edgy and I am so not. So of course I turned to Google to see whether it was even slightly possible that I could pull these off without looking like I was trying too hard. Don't get me wrong, I try pretty damn hard to look good when I leave the house, but I just don't want to look like I do. Anyways, after a few hours minutes of searching, I started to think I just might be able make these work. Here are some outfits that I came up with:
one // two // three // four // five (similar)
I think the key to wearing boots like these is to play off the rocker vibe, but in a laid back way. This graphic tee and a-line mini skirt are soo cute (the skirt is on sale too!). You could also wear the skirt with sandals, or with tights and flats or booties. Then the striped shirt and two-tone jeans (link is to a similar pair) are a super classic option, but the jeans have tiny edge to them. Like they're edgy jeans for non-edgy people. Plus, I think these white ankle booties could be a really cute contrast to more girly dresses. I hardly wear dresses anymore but maybe with these booties I'd change my mind:
Now that I've found some outfit inspiration, I'm leaning towards keeping these booties, but I'm not totally certain. What do you guys think? Should they stay or go?
