Empties - Vol. 2 {Skincare Reviews}

It's been awhile since I've done a post like this, and I have gone through quite a few products since my last post.  Here's a quick roundup of what I've used and loved (or not).

1. Clarins UV Plus HP ($41).  I've talked about this before, so I won't repeat myself.  But this is a great product because it has a really high SPF, doesn't irritate my skin and doesn't leave an ashy/whitish residue.  I didn't repurchase this, though, because I'm using something that just might be even better.

2. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré ($16). Again, this is not a new product for me, but I really love this moisturizer for its efficacy and simplicity.  Right now, I'm using a moisturizer from First Aid Beauty, but this moisturizer is hard to beat, so I'll probably buy this again soon.

3. Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer ($20).  I bought a small size of this during a Black Friday sale, and I really like this light moisturizer.  I prefer something a bit heavier during the winter, but I think this would be perfect for the summer, or right now if you have oilier skin.

4. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser ($10).  I picked this up in a small size a few months ago to test it out.  This is a phenomenal cleanser that works wonderfully with the Clarisonic. The only reason that I didn't go out and buy a full size version was that it was a tad too drying.  That being said, it is super effective and would probably work on anyone with normal to oily skin.

5. Deborah Lippmann The Stripper ($19).  In the interest of full disclosure - this was actually my mom's and I hijacked it and finished it.   Paying nearly $20 for nail polish remover when you can find it at the drugstore for $3 may seem crazy, but this is the only nail polish remover that I've used that is as effective as it is gentle.  Usually, it's one or the other, but this does both, so it's definitely worth checking out.

6. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser ($15).  This cleanser is very gentle and soothing, and it cleans well too.  My only issue with this is that it does not work well with a Clarisonic because it doesn't suds or foam at all.  Other then that, it's a great cleanser that's good for basic cleansing, but it's not the best for heavy or waterproof makeup.

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown ($21).  This is one of my absolute favorite and most used beauty products.  This makes filling in brows easy and natural.  And it comes in many different shades.  Go try it.
