Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Must Haves
I'm so excited that the Sephora Beauty Insider / VIB Sale is starting soon! VIB Rouge members get access this Friday, so I figured it's about time to start thinking about what to purchase. Here's a list of what I'm considering, some are products that I already know and love, and others are products that I've been wanting to try for a while now. I'd love to hear what's on your list, so leave me a note in the comments below!
Skin
1. Supergoop! Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Cream Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 37. I am a firm believer in wearing eye cream, and one with SPF is ideal for the daytime. I'm currently using an eye cream from Ole Henriksen and though I enjoy it, I've very intrigued by this one from Supergoop! For one, it is a tube applicator which is my preference because it's more sanitary. Second, I like that it's also supposed to help with puffiness, which is sometimes a concern for me. I want to check this out in store to make sure it blends in completely before I buy, but it's definitely in my shopping cart!
2. Clinique Even Better Essence Lotion For Combination to Oily Skin. Skin essences are all the rage now, and they're just one of the imports from the Korean beauty scene that are gaining popularity in the US. An essence is supposed to be applied after you cleanse and tone your skin. It's meant to prep your skin for moisturizer and help your skin to retain moisture better. This essence is interesting to me because it's specifically meant for combination to oily skin. I'd say my skin is pretty normal or even sometimes dry around the perimeter of my face, but my nose always gets shiny!
This essence appealed to me because it seems like it will add moisture to the areas that need it without overloading the areas that don't. I'm very intrigued by this, but am a bit hesitant about adding another step to my skincare routine. Has anyone tried an essence?
3. Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo: Total Transformation Set. This is something that I'm very excited about. This set comes with small sizes of the Good Genes serum and the Luna Oil. I've really enjoyed using the Good Genes serum because it is moisturizing and helps my skin look more plump and radiant. I've been wanting to try the Luna Oil for the longest time because it has a retinol ingredient that promises to provide all the anti-aging benefits of retinol without the irritation. This set is a great way to try the Sunday Riley brand at a lower price point. This is my top recommendation for skincare.
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask. I've been looking for a soothing mask for sometime now. Whenever I travel or when the weather changes, my skin gets very irritated. This mask sounds good because it's from a brand that I really trust (I mention the FAB cleanser in this post) and it has great ingredients like colloidal oatmeal and avena sativa oat bran, plus some botanical antioxidants. This one's definitely in my shopping cart!
5. Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer. I recently finished my Ole Henriksen moisturizer so I'm looking for another basic moisturizer. This moisturizer is appealing because it's anti-aging and brightening, plus I've been wanting to try something from Perricone MD for a while now.

6. Tarte Bling It On Amazonian Clay Blush Palette. I've heard such rave reviews about Tarte's blushes but never tried them. They're supposed to be very pigmented and long-lasting. This palette looks really pretty and it would be a great way to try out several different shades. I tend to use the same MAC blush (Sweet as Cocoa) nearly every single day, so it might be nice to switch things up a little.
7. Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation. Man I really want this foundation! I've been looking for a "special occasion" foundation that's medium coverage and glowy and this definitely fits the bill. It's supposed to create a radiant finish without hiding the skin - doesn't that sound perfect? I really don't need another foundation, but I want this so badly!
8. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30. This is an amazing base. It doesn't feel as thick as many tinted moisturizers (it's much thinner than Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier), but it still provides great natural coverage. I actually have one that my mom gave me that was too dark for her, but it's too light for me now that I live in California and always have somewhat of a tan (yes, that is possible lol). This is the perfect everyday coverage because it's so lightweight but it really makes your skin look gorgeous. I highly recommend this tinted moisturizer.
9. Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette. This is a matte neutral eyeshadow palette that I haven't picked up because it just seems so basic. But that's the exact reason that I've been eyeing it. I tend to go for the sparkly and shimmery colors, but I think it's necessary to have some good neutrals to help finish looks. Plus there are enough shades to do a lot of different eye looks using only what's in the palette. I'm on the fence about this because there are so many other things that I want, but this is definitely a contender.
10. Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow. I've always admired these eyeshadows because they are a cream to powder finish and the colors are super vibrant and pigmented. Some of the colors are very unique and perfect for holiday season glam! This might be my top pick for makeup.
11. Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation. Buxom has a line of creamy matte lipsticks in a range of nude colors. They're meant to smooth your lips and create the perfect nude lip that could be worn alone of as a foundation for other glosses or lipsticks. If you've been looking for a nude lipstick, definitely check out this range.
12. Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lipstick. These creamy matte lipsticks come in a range of colors and are very moisturizing and smooth on the lips. If you've been avoiding the matte lipstick trend because you find them drying, you'll definitely like these ones because they are pretty moisturizing.
13. Burberry First Kiss Glossy Lip Balm. My lips have been really dry lately, so I've been looking for something very moisturizing that still has some color to it. Sabrina at The Beauty Look Book recommended this, so I want to check this out next time I'm at Sephora.
