Product Review: YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush

A few months ago, Yves Saint Laurent debuted the Baby Doll Kiss & Blush - a blush/lipcolor hybrid product, and I was immediately intrigued.  I love YSL beauty products, and I'm always looking for multitasking products.  I tried these out and it was love at first swipe.

Baby Doll Kiss & Blush is liquid enough that it blends easily (either on lips or cheeks), but it stays put once dry.  This is actually hard to find because some cheek/lip stain products are so dry that they are hard to blend into your lips, while others are so slick that they fade away immediately.

I initially bought No. 5 Rouge Effronte, a bright true red and loved it.  I eventually bought No. 2 Rose Frivole (yellow-based pink, also mentioned here) and No. 10 Nude Insolent (rosy brown, also mentioned here).  It lasts all day on the cheeks and a few hours on the lips and is super comfortable to wear.  At $40, it's not cheap, but this is a luxury product that truly feels worth the price due to the quality, usefulness and uniqueness of the product.

Here are some swatches on me:DSC00601{L-R: No. 5, No. 2, No. 10}And here are some looks:DSC00612{wearing No. 5 on lips and cheeks}DSC00616{wearing No. 02 on lips and cheeks}DSC00624{wearing No. 10 on lips and cheeks}

As you can see, the color is more sheer on the cheeks (though it can definitely be built up for more intensity), so it's super wearable.  I apply the color straight from the tube to my lips, and I dot the color on my cheeks and blend with a brush (mentioned here).
