Product Review: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed)
I mentioned a little while ago that I'd picked up two new Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors from Sephora's Beauty Insider Sale (check out this post if you need a reminder). After a month of playing around with these gorgeous highlighters, I am super impressed with the quality and color payoff.
{L- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz; R- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Blushed Copper}
Both of these highlighters are very pigmented. Topaz is described as a "golden bronze pearl" and it's a very pretty shimmery bronze that provides a golden, tan shimmer. This would look great on all skin tones, and would especially be great for darker skin tones because it won't come across too ashy. This is a perfect product for summer. I think this would also be really pretty on the inner corner of the eyes to brighten that area, again, without looking too stark or harsh.
Now calling Blushed Copper a highlighter is like calling Hurricane Katrina a scattered shower. Blushed Copper is described as a "warm copper infused with rose gold tones" and it's exactly that, except the color is more intense than the description implies. It's a gorgeous coppery/red/brown highlighter that's actually best worn as a straight up blush because it is so pigmented. It is in the color family of Format and Ambering Rose blushes by MAC. Like Topaz, this is gorgeous and very bendable and smooth. In fact, the powder in these products is so finely milled that they almost feel like cream products.
Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and performance of these highlighters. They last all day and are very blendable.
