NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Palette (Yes, Another Palette!)

narsdualintensitypaletteI've had palettes on the brain lately (still loving the Stila palette reviewed here), and here's yet another super awesome palette that you really really need.  I first tried NARS' dual intensity eyeshadow formula sometime last summer when I purchased Himalia (previously mentioned here) and fell in love with the unique formula.  Although it's a powder, it feels really buttery and smooth and just blends like a dream.  Plus, you can use the shadows wet or dry (the metallic finish is much more intense when used wet), so they are really versatile.  So, when I heard that NARS was going to release a palette with eight shades, I was super excited and started saving my money right away.narspalette2I love that the cover is mirrored because it looks really cute on my vanity!  Something this pretty should not be hidden away.narspalette3The shades included are:Europa - Gossamer Pink PeachHimalia - Shimmering TopazUrsa Major - Chocolate GlazeSubra - Black OrchidAndromeda - AlabasterLysithea - Shark GreyGiove - NavySycorax - BlackPlus, the palette comes with an eyeshadow brush, which is synthetic.  I don't have any other NARS eyeshadow brushes, but this brush feels soft and is large enough to actually use (not always the case with brushes that come in sets!).  Ursa major is my favorite because it's a really pretty chocolate shadow that could be worn alone for an everyday look, or used for a dramatic smokey eye. Here are some swatches:narspaletteswatchesJust a couple of notes on the pictures:In person Subra is more purple, but it looks almost burgundy in the photo.  Also, Giove looks like bright cobalt in the pan, swatches as a deep navy, but looks almost black in the picture.  Go figure.  Despite these not photographing too well, they are smooth and beautiful in person.  Also, this palette is a really great value because you get eight shades for less than the cost of two (Yes, there is less product, but how often do you finish an eyeshadow?).  This is limited edition, but still available here for $79.Like what you see?Like beautyluxelife on Facebook here.Follow along on Bloglovin' here
