In My Makeup Bag: Beach Vacation
As if figuring out what to wear on a vacation weren't hard enough, adding makeup (not to mention hair products...but that's for another post) can be super challenging. I usually like to carry on my makeup because I'm not trying to risk any theft or damage to my goodies, but that means I have to pack lots of multitasking items and keep liquids to a minimum. So, without further ado, here's what went into my makeup bag for my trip to DR...Face:MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Magnetic Appeal (This was limited edition, but Soft & Gentle is similar.)MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in DarkYSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush in #5 (Also a lip color!)MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast (Love this for highlighting.)Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater (I usually keep this tiny bottle with me at work to add moisture throughout the day. It's awesome and I feel super fancy when I mist it on my face.)Eyes:Chanel Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in Mirage (One of my fav eyeshadows right now. You can apply it with a brush or your fingers and it lasts and lasts.)MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Layin' Low (I actually didn't use this one, but it's a great base, or you can wear it alone for a clean, natural look.)NARS eyeshadow in Mekong (Great for a smokey eye.)Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Canary (I decided yellow was going to be a theme, so I also painted my nails and toes yellow lol.)Maybelline Plumped UP! Colossal Waterproof Mascara in BlackLips:NARS lipgloss in BelizeMAC lip pencil in Lasting Sensation (Also mentioned here.)MAC lip pencil in Boldly Bare (This is a nude pencil that I use to tone down the pink in my natural lip color. A must when I'm going for a nude lip.)MAC lipstick in Freckletone (Classic peachy nude; great for my tone (MAC NC 45 and lighter) or darker tones using a darker lip pencil, like MAC Chesnut.)Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon (Super moisturizing and gives a soft pink color.)Brushes:Stila fluffy crease brush #9 (I used this for blending shadows into the crease, or for a light all-over wash over the lid.)MAC eyeshadow brush #252 (This is for packing color onto the lid.)MAC contour brush #168 (I used this to apply Magnetic Appeal over the cheekbones.)I also packed a sharpener and concealer (Chanel #42), but I got tanned so it was too light. This forced me to purchase the NARS concealer I mentioned here. I'm all broken up about it.What are your travel must-haves?
