How to look cute while playing tennis
A couple of months ago, I joined a casual tennis group, and I haven’t looked back. Now that I’m firmly in my late 30s, I’ve been wanting to find new ways to build and maintain relationships outside of eating and drinking. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll almost never pass up an excuse to drink some champagne and eat some good food, but engaging in a shared activity unlocks new options for connection. There’s something so refreshing and real about getting active together that seems to allow folks to be a little more open and free. Plus, it’s scary to try something new and present yourself as a total beginner. We try so hard in our professional lives to be poised and knowledgeable and put together, so it’s actually quite healing to leave that at home once a week to just have some fun.
When I started playing tennis, I promised myself that I wouldn’t buy any tennis clothes until I’d been going consistently for two months. Blame the Sagittarius in me that gets super excited about a hobby for about 15 minutes only to lose interest just as quickly. So I really wanted to make sure that I was committed to tennis before spending any money on outfits. But now that I’ve been playing consistently for about four months, I think it’s safe to say that I’m hooked. And it’s a good thing because tennis outfits are hella cute. I think the cute outfits are at least partially responsible for why I’m so excited to keep playing 😏
So, as a formerly dedicated blogger and shopping enthusiast, here’s a roundup of my favorite tennis outfits. And the best part is that you actually don’t have to play tennis at all to wear these fits. You’re welcome.
