Four Perfect Eyeshadows For Summer

I was shopping my makeup stash recently and re-discovered some gorgeous MAC eyeshadows that are perfect for summer.  They are sunset colors that remind me of hot, summer nights and would look soo stunning on a wide range of skin tones, but especially deeper shades.best-mac-eyeshadows-for-summer

Rule is described as a matte vivid orange, and it definitely is.  It's actually quite smooth and blendable, and this would be really great as a crease color to blend out gold or yellow shades.  Used softly in the crease, this color won't seem as dramatic.  Alternatively, you could pack this onto the lid and then use a neutral shadow to blend it out.  Either way, this is a fresh color that is totally unexpected.

Passionate is described as a real mid-tone red, but swatched on my skin it's more of a hot pinky/red.  No matter how you describe it, it's a bold and bright color that is totally summer-appropriate.  I would wear this in the crease to blend out another color (like Coppering).  This would also work as a blush, for those of you who favor bright, bold blushes.

Coppering is described as an orange copper, and the shimmer on this shadow is really pretty.  I would use this all over my lids as a quick eyeshadow look.  A darker brown, like Embark could go in the crease to deepen the look and create a summertime smokey eye, or it could just be worn alone, which would be great for either day or night.

Goldmine is described as an intense gold with shimmer, and that's exactly right.  No summer eyeshadow collection would complete without an intense gold, and Goldmine is a MAC favorite for good reason.  This could be worn just as a liner, or dusted all over the lid for a quick look.  Or it could be the base for a gold smokey eye if worn with some deeper bronze or brown eyeshadows.  Or you could go all out and use a contrasting color, like teal, for a really bold look.  Basically, this color is damn near a neutral, so use it accordingly.
