Five Minute Face {Fall 2015 Edition}
I'm all for full-on glam makeup. I truly respect women who don't leave the house without highlight, contour and lashes. But, honestly, sometimes there just isn't the time, or motivation, to pull off such a feat. I have a couple of products that I turn to when I need to look pulled together in 5 minutes flat.
- Even skintone. If I'm really in a rush, I won't even bother to slap tinted moisturizer onto my face. Instead, I'll dust MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark all over to even out my skintone and keep shine at bay.
- Add color to lips and cheeks. Blush really wakes up the face, and lipstick definitely makes you look more pulled together. When I'm pressed for time, I'll use YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in No. 10 to add the most natural rosy flush to my cheeks and lips. This color is super natural on me and I love that I don't need a brush to apply it. I think that everyone should have a multi-tasking product like this in their stash. Stila's Convertible Color compacts and Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge compacts are also really nice options.
- Tame brows. When filling in my brows with a pencil would take too much time, I use a tinted brow gel to add a bit of color and keep my eyebrows in place. Lately I've been loving MAC's Prolongwear Waterproof Brow Gel in Girl/Boy, it's a very pretty caramel shade that is perfect. I like that it's a little lighter than my hair color because it de-emphasizes my brows, which is nice when I'm not able to take the extra step of perfecting them with a pencil.
- Open eyes. Mascara is a must for looking more awake. Maybelline Lash Sensational is quickly reaching Holy Grail status because it darkens and thickens my lash with no clumps whatsoever.
With just four items I'm able to pull myself together and race out of the door in no time. What are your bare bones makeup essentials? Leave me a note in the comments!Shop the post below:[xyz-ihs snippet="5-min-face"]
