Fall - Winter Skincare Must Haves
It's now gotten to the point where I have my heater on almost daily, so even though it doesn't get that cold in Oakland, I've updated my skincare routine a bit. I'm still using lots of the products that I mentioned in my Summer Skincare video and I've added some more hydrating and nurturing products. Here's a video featuring all of my winter skincare must haves. Check it out and let me know what you've added to your skincare routine lately.[add video]

As promised in the video, here are more details on all the products:
- Bioderma Sebum H20 Micellar Water. I did an in-depth review of all three of the Bioderma micellar waters in this post and these are my favorite micellar waters. I use this every morning and can't see myself using something else in its place.
- From Molly With Love Sea Kelp Bioferment Essence. This essence is hydrating, healing and anti-aging. I love that it's light but it really nourishes my skin. Read more about essences (a K-Beauty skincare staple) here.
- Glossier Zit Stick. It's key ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which is a very popular acne fighting skincare ingredient. I find that this definitely works to get rid of breakouts fast. My only caution is less is more and make sure you moisturize your skin because it can be drying.
- AEnon’s RITUALL Hydrate Antioxidant Serum. This is my favorite hyaluronic acid serum because it's light and really helps to hydrate my skin. It's also packed with antioxidants, so it helps repair the skin and fight signs of aging. I feel like this is definitely a year-round product because who doesn't love some lightweight moisture?
- Rohr Remedy Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Face Serum. We all know that Vitamin C is an amazing ingredient for brightening the skin. I love this serum by Rohr Remedy because it's hydrating, firming and brightening. Plus it's oil-free so it soaks into your skin and doesn't feel heavy at all.
- Rohr Remedy Lilly Pilly and Omega 3 Moisturiser. This is my go-to moisturizer because it's so light yet effective. I also converted my brother to using this because it really gets the job done. It's not too heavy, but it keeps your skin feeling hydrated all day. I also love that a little goes a long way so I think it's a great value.
- Sunscreen (Glossier Invisible Shield SPF 35 and GR8/SKN Screen SPF 30).
- Native Nectar Botanicals Clear & Glow Complexion Serum. This really a work horse serum. Clear & Glow has healing botanical extracts, along with Salicylic Acid, to address acne prone skin concerns such as redness, dry skin, scars and active breakouts. I add this to my routine when I'm dealing with (hormonal) breakouts.
- Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme. I don't always use eye cream, but when I want to make sure my under eyes are hydrated, I reach for this. I like that it's light and I notice that my concealer doesn't look as cakey when I make the time to use eye cream and let it soak in before applying makeup.
- Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Purifying Cleansing Oil. I was really surprised by how much I like this oil! It has a nice, light texture that removes the most stubborn makeup.
- Omorovicza Cleansing Foam. I really enjoy using this cleansing foam. It really cleanses my skin and it's not drying or irritating.
- Rohr Remedy Rosalina Face Cleanser. Rosalina is a natural astringent, so this cleanser really clears out my pores.
- Aenon’s RITUALL Gentle Facial Cleanser. I love this gentle cleansing milk. I reach for this on no-makeup days because it's so gentle and it really feels like it babies my skin.
- Omorovicza Acid Fix. This chemical exfoliant has AHAs and BHAs to slough off dead skin, and it leaves my skin feeling insanely soft.
- Native Nectar Botanicals Resurface AHA Overnight Mask. Don't let the name fool you. It's called a mask but it's more like a liquid exfoliating treatment that you don't actually rinse off!
- Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil. I've been using this for about a year now and I always add it to my nighttime skincare routine when I have annoying breakouts.
- Sisley Black Rose Facial Oil. This oil is expensive but it's backed with nourishing and anti-aging ingredients that make a difference in my skin every time I use it.
- Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I see a visible difference with my lips when I use it (and when I don't my lips just don't look or fee the same).
- Noyah Lip Scrub. When my lips need extra TLC, I like using this sugar scrub to smooth and soften my lips.
