Cult Favorite Facial Mists Reviewed | Empties

facial-mist-empties.jpg

I've talked about facial mists a few times before, but I don't think I've done an in-depth comparison yet.  Today I have four really popular facial mists - Jurlique, Tatcha, Pixi and Glossier - and I'm gonna compare the ingredients and scents and everything else.First up I have two rosewater facial mists...Reviewing some of my favorite facial mists from Pixi, Tatcha, Glossier and Jurlique. adiaadores.com #skincare #facialmist

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

I don't usually include ingredients lists in post, but I think it's helpful to see how these different facial mists work.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water); Alcohol; Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow) Root Extract; Rosa gallica (Rose) Flower Extract; PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate; Fragrance (Parfum)*; Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate; Lactic Acid; Polysorbate-20; Citrus grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract; Aloe barbadensis Leaf Extract; Geraniol*; Linalool*; Citronellol*; Eugenol*; Benzyl Benzoate*.

First off, it has a fairly strong rose scent and it's incredibly refreshing.  The packaging is great and a fine mist is distributed.  It's not one of the mists where there are big drops that'll mess up your makeup.  I know the bottle shown here is tiny, but I've gone through several bottles of this size, so I have a good idea of how this works on my skin. The Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is something that I like to keep in my desk at work for a little afternoon boost.  Unfortunately, though, it just isn't very hydrating to me, probably because alcohol is the second ingredient.  It feels nice when I spray it on my face, but soon after it dries, my face feels pretty much the same.Next is another rosewater spray...

Glossier Soothing Face Mist

I'm a Glossier rep so I may be **slightly** biased, but this is my favorite rosewater spray.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract

If you look at the ingredients, you'll notice first up that there's no alcohol (which is a  huge plus).  You'll also see that the second ingredient is rose water.  And the third ingredient is aloe, so I think the name is pretty fitting. The Glossier Soothing Face Mist has a beautiful rose scent that's distinct, but not fake at all.  This is something that I love to spray on my face in the morning after cleansing.  It is lightly hydrating and so, so soothing.

Next in this roundup, I have two facial mists that give a more dewy finish.Reviewing some of my favorite facial mists from Pixi, Tatcha, Glossier and Jurlique. adiaadores.com #skincare #facialmist

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

This one is super luxe in every sense of the word and a cult favorite for good reason.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Squalane (Olive Origin), Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Triethylhexanoin, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil,  Inositol (Rice Extract)Algae ExtractSericin (Silk Extract)Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Oil,  Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf ExtractChondrus Crispus (Red Algae) Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba Fruit Extract, Thymus Serpillum (Thyme) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, PPG-5-ceteth-10 Phosphate, Trideceth-12, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Sorbitan Stearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Fragrance (Natural), Sodium Hyaluronate, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is definitely the most moisturizing of the bunch.  The second ingredient is glycerin, which attracts water, so it helps moisture stay on the skin. The ingredient list has a few different oils, but don't let that put you off.  You'll definitely get a glowy finish, but it's not greasy at all.Reviewing some of my favorite facial mists from Pixi, Tatcha, Glossier and Jurlique. adiaadores.com #skincare #facialmistIn the mornings before working out, I'll wash my face and then spray this on my face.  It keeps my face from feeling tight but it's light, which is a must if I'm about to work out. Lately I've also been spraying it on my face after doing my makeup to add a little more moisture since I pretty much keep my space heater going all day at work.Last, I have a drugstore dupe of the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist...

Pixi Beauty Glow Mist

You'll have a hard time finding this on the shelves in Target because it's so popular for giving glow skin.

Ingredients: Water, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Propolis Extract, Niacinamide, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Rose Flower Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

A couple of summers ago, I was drenching my face with the Glow Mist almost daily.  It gives a very nice glow (more intense than the Tatcha, in my opinion), but it somehow still does a good job of setting my makeup.  It has a subtle, fresh scent that dissipates pretty quickly, and it sprays out in a nice fine mist.  I love this because I always try to have a bit of a glow, but I'd caution you a bit if you have oily skin.Reviewing some of my favorite facial mists from Pixi, Tatcha, Glossier and Jurlique. adiaadores.com #skincare #facialmistAlright, your turn.  Let me know if you've tried any of these facial mists, or if there's something new that I need to add to my stash.
