Bobbi Brown Remedies Skin Clarity Kit | Review
I've been struggling with breakouts for the last couple of months, so I've been trying lots of different acne treatments lately (this cleanser has been great btw). I was at Nordstrom a while back and saw the cutest little Bobbi Brown Remedies Skin Clarity Kit and had to check it out. First, the mini bottles were adorable. Second, the kit was a combination of different serums and oils (and you guys know I'm obsessed with oils). Third, I don't think I've ever tried any skincare from Bobbi Brown, so I was definitely curious.
what's in the remedies skin clarity kit?
The Bobbi Brown Remedies Skin Clarity Kit comes with three treatments that are like a holistic approach to acne-prone skin. There's the Skin Reviver, Skin Clarifier and Skin Relief. The Skin Reviver is an antioxidant rich serum that's meant to energize and revive the skin. It's also meant to be soothing and anti-aging.The Skin Clarifier is an oil that has manuka, sea buckthorn and rosehip oils plus salicylic acid to balance sebum production and clear congested pores. The Skin Relief is another serum that has red algae and knotted kelp extracts to calm and soothe the skin. It also reduces redness and irritation. The bottles in the Remedies Skin Clarity Kit are only 0.1 oz each, but I was able to use the set nightly for about 3 weeks, so a little goes a long way. While I was testing these out, I had one of my best skin months in a long time. I especially liked the Skin Relief serum. I think that sometimes what looks like acne is actually irritation (at least for me), so adding something that's calming to my skincare routine was definitely helpful.
So, would I buy the full sizes?
Out of the three treatments, I think the Skin Relief was the best, closely followed by the Skin Clarifier. The Skin Reviver wasn't particularly impressive for me.But, I have another oil with salicylic acid (the Sunday Riley UFO Oil, which is reviewed in this post) as well as another rosehip oil (both mentioned in my nighttime skincare routine video). Since both of these are key ingredients in the Skin Clarifier, I don't think I'll be buying the full sized version just yet. That being said, I most definitely do have a Skin Relief serum sitting in my cart at Nordstrom.com and I'm really considering buying it. The thing is that I'm always trying new skincare and makeup products, so I think adding something calming like the Skin Relief could be a big help for my skin. The Bobbi Brown Remedies Skin Clarity Kit is $35 so it's not cheap, but I think it's the perfect size to try out a new skincare routine if you're struggling with breakouts and just aren't sure where to start.
**Note: It looks like Nordstrom has the Bobbi Brown Remedies Skin Clarity Kit on sale for 15% off, so in case you were thinking about trying these out, you might wanna do that sooner rather than later. I'm just sayin'.
