Avon Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum {Product Review}
I mentioned Avon's Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum a couple of months ago in a favorites video, but it's so good that it deserves its own post. I received this for review consideration probably 6 months ago. But, since I'm not too familiar with Avon products, it sat in a drawer for a while. When I'd finished whatever serum I'd been using before, I decided to rummage through my "beauty drawer" to see if there was anything good inside. I saw this and decided to give it a try.The Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum* does just want it claims to do. Don't you just love that? It has a 10% concentration of Vitamin C, which is a key ingredient for protecting the skin from the sun and other environmental harms (like pollution). Vitamin C also helps lighten dark spots from sun exposure or acne scars and helps to make your skin tone more even and glowy.I've tried lots of different serums and I pretty much always have one in my skincare routine. I like that they're concentrated on a specific skincare issue. Depending on what's going on with my skin, sometimes I'll use a hydrating serum or a clarifying one (or the Sephora Clarifying Drops). The Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum is so good for brightening the skin and making it look more clear and even.One thing that is a little different about this serum is it's texture. Most other serums that I've tried feel very light and almost watery. This one definitely has a bit of a sticky, slightly oily texture. That actually doesn't bother me that much, but it's definitely different from other serums, so I wanted to call that out.Also, because it has such a high concentration of Vitamin C, it's somewhat intense. So when I first started using this, I just used it every other night for about a week or so. Then I built it up to every night, then I finally started using it day and night. If you have sensitive skin, I'd suggest easing into this so that you don't overwhelm your skin and have a bad reaction.I'm really impressed with this serum and definitely recommend it if you're looking to brighten your skin. I like to think that my skin is always glowing, but when I first started using this, I got several random compliments about my skin. So this stuff really works.You can find the Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum on avon.com for $30.*The Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum was gifted for review consideration, but as always, all opinions are my own.
