10 Summer Skincare Staples

Even though it doesn't really feel like summer until September in the Bay Area, I recently uploaded a new video on my YouTube channel with my 10 summer skincare staples. I'm often asked to share my skincare routine, but to be honest, I don't really have much of a routine these days. I'm constantly testing out new products for my store CVTD Beauty so I'm changing products pretty often.https://youtu.be/NI7EJ_MXAvMThis video features my tried-and-true products that keep my skin smooth and glowing all summer.Subscribe To My YouTube Channel

Here are my summer skincare staples:

1. Sunscreen: Glossier Invisible Shield SPF 35 (shop with me to get 10% off your first purchase) and GR8/SKN SPF 30 Sunscreen. Although I'm very familiar with the concerns about using a chemical sunscreen, I haven't consistently used a physical sunscreen until I discovered GR8/SKN. Most physical sunscreens are super white and ashy and they just don't work on my skin tone, but I'm very happy with the GR8/SKN SPF!2. Bioderma Sebum H20 Micellar Water. I reviewed three different Bioderma micellar waters in this post, and now that the weather's warmer, the Sebum H20 is perfect. It keeps my skin balanced but not dry.3. AEnon’s Rituall Hydrate Antioxidant Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. Are you tired of me talking about the benefits of hyaluronic acid? It binds water to the skin, so it's moisturizing but not heavy. This AEnon's serum has the added benefit of containing antioxidants so it also repairs and rejuvenates the skin. It's one of my favorite items from CVTD Beauty.4. Glossier Super Pure. I've mentioned this before, but Super Pure contains niacinamide and zinc, both of which fight acne and irritation. It's a great acne-fighting serum.5. Native Nectar Botanicals Clear & Glow Complexion Serum. This serum is quickly becoming a favorite. I love my oils, but during the summer, I tend to cut back on using facial oils. I love this Clear & Glow Complexion Serum because it's moisturizing and it fights acne. It contains salicylic acid, which keeps the skin clear and prevents breakouts. Grape seed oil, camellia seed oil and tea tree oil (amongst a host of other nourishing ingredients) add moisture without being too heavy.6. Birchrose & Co. Antioxidant Mask. A new addition to CVTD Beauty, this mask is perfect for summertime. Cacao and clay draw out impurities. Honey is antibacterial and moisturizing. Mint also has antibacterial properties meaning this mask has great ingredients for acne-prone skin. This rich mask helps balance my skin and I use it about one a week to keep my skin clear.7. Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask. I reach for this mask when I have big breakouts. I don't use it all over my face because it can be a bit intense. Instead, I spot treat with this mask only on my blemishes. It always helps to reduce pimples.8. Elyse Marie Botanicals Replenish Body Oil. I'm usually not very impressed with body oils, but this one actually moisturizes my skin. A little goes a long way, so I feel like it's a good value for the price.9. Glossier Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream. This lotion is like MAC Strobe Cream for the body. There are little light reflective particles in it so it gives your skin a really pretty sheen.10. Mullein & Sparrow Organic Evening Primrose Oil. Evening Primrose is amazing for hormonal acne and rosacea. Since I started using this at night, my hormonal breakouts have decreased significantly. I can't believe how well this works (or the fact that it took me so long to try it)!

I have the video showing up top, but in case you're having trouble, here's a link to the video.
