this colourpop spring collection has all of the colors!

A month or so ago, I got my hands on the 15-piece Colourpop spring collection and it is so pretty!  You guys know that I love Colourpop (Want proof? Check out this post, and this one too!), so I was really excited when I saw the colors in this launch.  There are a couple of neutral eyeshadows, plus some super fun bright ones too.  And then there are creme gel colours, gel liners, ultra satin lipsticks (one of their new formulas) and the original lippie stix.  Basically, they launched a bunch of $h!t LOL.  Being the makeup hoarder devoted beauty blogger that I am, I had to snatch up everything.colourpop spring collection

colourpop spring collection | eyeshadows

Five new eyeshadows are part of this collection - Luckfully (metallic deep blue), Flower Shop (metallic blue/teal), Belladonna Lilly (matte turquoise), Flutes (matte tan) and Wattles (shimmering rose).  I think these eyeshadows are a nice mix of basic and bright colors.  There are the bright blues, which are really, really pretty, but then Flutes and Wattles can tone things down.Flutes is really close to my skin tone, so it's perfect for blending out shadows into my crease.  Wattles is such a pretty pink color that's 100% my style of eyeshadow.  The other shades are definitely bright colors, but I think they are all so pretty together.colourpop spring collection

colourpop spring collection | creme gel colours

I first tried Colourpop's creme gel colours when they launched sometime last year, and I love the formula.  I got a couple of the gold and bronze shades and like to apply them with my fingers all over my lids for a quick makeup look.  You can also use a tiny angled liner brush and use these as eyeliner. The new colors that launched in this spring collection are Teaspoon (matte teal green) and Descanso (bright purple with blue sparkles).  OK, so these are some crazy bright colors!  No other way to put it, BUT they are really pretty and fun for this time of year.  The best thing about these creme gel colours is that they're super inexpensive ($6!).  So, if you're not really into bright colors, you can try them out for not much money.  I think the formula is really good, so you don't sacrifice quality at all.

The Colourpop spring collection also has two new creme gel liners - Teaspoon (matte teal green) and Honeydude (light beige).  So the Teaspoon gel liner is a duplicate of the creme gel colour because both can be used as liners, but the Honeydude liner is perfect for lining the lower waterline to open up your eyes.I went through a phase where I was lining my waterline with a nude Rimmel pencil (like I did in this post here), and it really makes a difference in how your eyes look.  It totally opens your eyes, so it works for mornings when you got less sleep than you wanted and you need an extra boost to look more awake.  It's also nice to use a nude pencil when you're doing a smokey eye.  Sometimes a smokey eye can make your eyes look really squinty, so lining the waterline with a nude liner can avoid that.Anyways, back to the liners.  They're super creamy and smooth and long-lasting too.  Plus they're only $5 each.colourpop spring collection

colourpop spring collection | ultra satin lipsticks

The three ultra satin lipsticks are similar to the ultra matte formula, except they don't dry down quite as matte.  They're way more forgiving on the lips because they aren't so matte that they emphasize every little line on your lips.  But they're still super pigmented and pretty long-lasting.  The three colors released are Spritz (medium pink), Botanical (neon coral) and Naked Ladies (warm red).Of these three Spritz is my favorite because it's the most wearable.  Botanical is really pretty but it's bright, like insanely so.  The only way I can wear this is if I line my lips with a light brown liner and then lightly dab Botanical onto my lips.  If I apply this full strength to my lips, it's damn near blinding and just way too bright for me.

colourpop spring collection | lippie stix

Last, there are three lippie stix: Hype Girl (matte peach/pink), Croquet (sheer raspberry) and Crumpet (creamy medium pink).  I love all of these, but think I'll probably be reaching for Croquet the most just because it's so pretty and easy to put on in a hurry. Here are some swatches of the lip products in the newest Colourpop spring collection:colourpop spring collectionAnd here's a look at me wearing items from the spring collection:colourpop spring collectionI applied Wattles all over the lid and used Flute to blend it out.  Then I applied Flower Shop along the lower lash line.  On my lips, I'm wearing Croquet.colourpop spring collectionI'm wearing Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation in Warm Honey and Zoeva blush in Burning Up (reviewed in this video).colourpop spring collectionOverall, I think Colourpop's spring collection is really pretty and right on trend for spring/summer.  See anything you like?  Let me know if you bought anything from the collection, or if you're planning to!
