I'm super excited to share my thoughts on the new Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation and Giorgio Armani UV Skin Defense Primer SPF 50.   I've been testing both for over a month now, and I'm glad to report that I LOVE this foundation and primer.giorgio armani maestro glow

The Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow foundation is described as "a foundation infused with oil and pure pigments for sheer coverage and a lasting glow."  And, I'd have to say that's pretty accurate.  This is a seriously GLOWY foundation.  It's definitely the most glowy foundation that I've tried, and I've tried plenty.  I've mentioned the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation before, which is one of my favorite foundations, but this Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow foundation takes the glow up a notch (or 2 or 3).  But, the thing that makes it so great is that it feels so light on the face, unlike many others that I've tried. Not to say they're super heavy or uncomfortable, but I'm always aware that I'm wearing foundation.  This is really not the case with the Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow foundation.  As you can see in the photo below, it has a very liquid texture, so it feels nearly weightless on the face.giorgio armani maestro glowThis is a bi-phase formula, so you have to shake it up to mix the oils and pigments, which I thought was kinda cool to be honest :-).  The sheer coverage keeps the foundation looking natural, which is obviously a big plus. For my combination skin, this helps me to get an all-over glow.  But, if you have oily skin, this may not work for you because this is a very glowy foundation.  I think if you have dry skin without major texture issues, this would be PERFECT for you.  Keep in mind the coverage is light - medium coverage, so it won't cover lots of discoloration.   If you just want to even your skintone and cover minor redness or acne marks, this may be exactly what you're looking for.  I am very happy with this foundation, and think I could wear this year-round.  During warmer weather, I'd probably want to powder my nose or use a mattifying primer on my nose, but otherwise this is pretty awesome.  The one drawback is that the color selection isn't as wide as I'd like.  I'm wearing shade 8 here, and shade 7 was too light.  I would've loved a shade in between the two, but since this is pretty sheer, I think I'm ok with the color.  It's available in 9 shades for $64 at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Sephora.  It's pricey, but based on the size (1 oz), it will probably last a really long time because you only need 3 drops to cover the whole face.

OK, so I've discussed sunscreens previously (Algenist, Clinique and Tarte are all good ones that I've tried before), but I think I can officially say this Giorgio Armani one is my favorite.  That's because this is super light and completely sheer.  No white cast whatsoever, which is super hard to come by.  This literally melts right into my skin immediately.  It's unlike any other sunscreen that I've tried, so I expect this will be a staple for a long time.  Again, it's not cheap, but skincare, especially sunscreen, is so important.  I figure that if I can find a sunscreen that's actually a pleasure to wear, I'm much more likely to wear it.  Plus, this doubles as a primer, so it's like two products in one.  I can't say if it keeps my makeup on longer or not, but it does provide a smooth canvas for my foundation.  I can't recommend this spf/primer enough.  For real, it's really good.  It's also $64 and is available at Giorgio Armani Beauty and Sephora.giorgio armani maestro glow foundation and spagiorgio armani maestro glow foundationSo, have you tried the Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow foundation or the primer/spf?  I'd love to hear your thoughts!
