Nordstrom Sale

Every year, Nordstrom offers NEW items at amazing prices.  Pre-sale has just started for cardholders, and it's open to everyone on July 17.  I always use this opportunity to stock up on workout gear and there are some really cute Nike capri and sweatshirt sets.  Of course, the makeup and skincare offerings are always stellar, too.  If you have a favorite brand, they'll probably have some sort of deal going on, so be sure to check it out.Here are my top picks:[xyz-ihs snippet="n-sale"]

Reading Binge

Starting with my trips to NYC and Costa Rica last month, I've been doing a ton of reading.  One of my favorite reads so far was The Girl With All The Gifts, which is an amazing science-fiction thriller.  This is probably one of the few books that stayed with me days after reading it. It was suspenseful and the main character was so nuanced and likable.  Check this out if you're looking for a page-turner!I also loved Little Green: An Easy Rawlins Mystery, the twelfth novel in a fantastic series by Walter Mosley.  This series is set in 1960s Los Angeles and follows the life and trials of Easy Rawlins, a private detective.  These books are phenomenal and truly transport the reader to another place and time.

LA Times
