8 Surprisingly Wearable Pink Highlighters

I'm sure that when you hear about pink highlighters, the last thing you think is "wearable." I get it, and for a while I was very hesitant to jump onto this trend. When done the right way, pink highlighter can be not only wearable, but unexpected and fresh too.

how to make pink highlighters work

The key to wearing pink highlighters is making sure that the rest of the face is subtle. We definitely want the highlighter to be the star of the show. There's a line between edgy/cool and full on drag makeup. The best way to make a bold makeup element, like an unexpected highlight shade, work for everyday is to keep it simple. That means a light base that lets your skin shine through, subtly defined brows and a "my lips but better" shade (these are awesome). When you have a light base, any other makeup seems more effortless, cool and not as done up.

the most wearable pink highlighters

As a pink highlighter connoisseur, I've swatched through my stash and found the most stunning pink highlighters. There are a couple that are pretty damn metallic but most give you that perfect pink shift when you tilt your head to the side. Not too "in your face" but definitely noticeable and super fun.swatches of the most wearable pink highlighters. more at adiaadores.comSwatches from left to right: Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio (the shade Iridescent Pink) // Anastasia Beverly Hills Dream Glow Kit (the shade Unicorn) // Smashbox x Vlada Petal Metal Highlighter in Prismatic Petal // Nabla Cream Highlighter in Surreal // Hourglass Vanish Highlighter in Pink Flash // MAC Hyper Real Foundation in Rose Gold FX (this is stunning mixed into foundation or dotted onto the high points of the cheek after foundation) // ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Monster and Showtime
