Building A Spring Wardrobe, The Minimalist Way Pt. 1

I haven't been doing much shopping lately at all, and that's mainly because I've been trying to save money.  I'm also trying to pare down on my belongings and be more thoughtful on my purchases.  I mentioned a great resource about minimalism here, and have yet another one to share that I'm really excited to put into use.I came across the Un-Fancy blog and fell in love with how Caroline creates a capsule wardrobe each season consisting of 37 pieces (not counting special occasion items, accessories and workout clothes) and remixes those pieces to create super cute outfits.  Her philosophy is all about being thoughtful about your lifestyle and the image you want to create and then being selective about how you spend your money.  Since you plan your purchases in advance with the idea that you'll be wearing these pieces multiple times, you end up buying more high quality items.I'm still finalizing my picks, but I thought I'd share what I'm dreaming about for shoes (some I have and some I hope to buy!).

flats for spring 2015
{1. Madewell oxfords ($148)  //  2. Banana Republic loafers ($128) // 3. J. Crew d'Orsay flats ($158) 4. Thakoon Addition oxfords (sold out) 5. Madewell d'Orsay flats ($108)}

I currently have a pair of flats from Madewell similar to #5 that I wear constantly, and I have a pair of silver oxfords similar to #1 that are also in heavy rotation lately.  Both pairs are super comfortable and chic, so I'm sure they'll make it into my spring capsule wardrobe.  I've been wanting a pair of two-tone shoes, so #2 and #4 caught my eye.  I think I'm leaning towards #2 just because I already have several pairs of oxfords and don't have any loafers.Now for the fun part:

heels for spring 2015

{1.  Banana Republic caged sandals ($158) // 2. J. Crew leather pumps ($295) (also super cute in yellow!) // 3. Dolce Vita booties ($190) // 4. Banana Republic booties ($228) // 5. Prada sandals ($750) //  6.  Banana Republic lace-up sandals ($148)}

I definitely want to add #7 to my collection because mules are so in this spring, and this pair looks way more expensive than it really is.  I have pairs similar to #4 and #5 that I'm sure will be staples this spring.  And #6 is just too hot to pass up (also comes in yellow and blue!).I'm missing flat sandals, but just haven't been impressed with anything that's in my closet or in stores, so I may or may not be wearing my silver Old Navy flip flops for the foreseeable future.  Don't judge.Let me know if you've seen anything cute in stores lately?Also, I've been pinning wardrobe inspiration like crazy, so follow along on my pinterest page here.Shop the post below:[xyz-ihs snippet="spring-shoes"]Like what you see?Like beautyluxelife on Facebook here.Follow along on Bloglovin' here
