Another hit from NARS Skin...

Nars skinA couple of months ago I attended a NARS beauty event at Nordstrom.  Of course, the makeup artist waxed poetic about the virtues of NARS skincare, but I wasn't too convinced.  Nonetheless, I bought the moisturizer (reviewed here) and was very pleasantly surprised.  Fast forward a couple of weeks, and my skin starts to feel a bit dry.  Since I'd been so happy with the moisturizer, I decided to try the NARS Skin Multi-Action Hydrating Toner, which has also been getting good reviews in the blogosphere.  After using day and night for the past three weeks, here are my thoughts as well as a little background on toner.I go back and forth about the necessity of toner, but most people will agree that it's great for removing any traces of makeup or residue before moving onto a serum or moisturizer.  I generally do not worry about my face being clean since I use a Clarisonic, so I was drawn to this product for its moisturizing properties. The Multi-Action Hydrating Toner is a gel-like formula that is dispensed through a pump.  It is very moisturizing and gets rid of the tightness that I sometimes feel after I wash my face.  It's alcohol free and is mildly exfoliating, so it's a great prep before adding a serum because it  will help remove any last traces of makeup after you wash your face.  Also, it is a fantastic lip prep!  When I swipe a bit over my lips, they feel so much more smooth and soft.  Bottom line - I really like this product because it cleanses and moisturizes and does not irritate my skin at all.  I'll definitely re-purchase.
