marmalade's 8th anniversary party

I was invited to attend the 8th anniversary of Marmalade, a super cute boutique on Union Street in San Francisco. I loved the attentive staff, but the thing that I loved best was chatting with the owner, Hope Colling.  Her story of how she moved to SF eight years ago and opened a boutique without a retail background and managed to create a thriving business was so inspiring.  I love hearing about successful female entrepreneurs, and Hope's story about taking a risk and following your heart was so timely.

No week in review would be complete without sharing my favorite blog posts.  Since I started blogging, I've gained a new appreciation for all the work that goes into just a single blog post, so here are my favorites from the past week.

exciting new job opportunities

I've been on the hunt for a new gig for almost two months now (wow!) and I just started getting excited about it this week.  For the longest time, I couldn't find anything that I wanted to do that wasn't exactly like my previous jobs, which was incredibly frustrating.  However, this past week I started seeing jobs that seemed really interesting, so I'm feeling encouraged and excited.

I'm thinking about a quick trip to LA and another to NY in the next month for job interviews, so that has me super excited.  Also, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access starts July 9, and I'm soo looking forward to that (even though I'm supposed to be saving money...).What's got you excited for next week?  (There's gotta be something!)
