Top 5: Fall Nail Polishes
Now that I've officially stashed all my bright nail polishes, it really must be fall. I actually prefer darker nail polishes, but this roundup has some pretty gray and mauve tones that are a bit more low key and perfect for right now.
1. Essie Nail Polish in Sand Tropez. I love this light gray because it's subtle but has a little edge.
2. Essie Nail Polish in Merino Cool. This is a grayish/purple color that's dark without being too intense.
3. Kiko Nail Polish in 220 Satin Beige. This warm beige/tan is really pretty because it has tiny gold sparkles in it. Plus Kiko polishes are only $1.90.
4. Kiko Nail Polish in 373 Burnt Siena. This brown/plum color is the most unique of the bunch due to the fine gold shimmer. It looks more obvious in the bottle, but when worn, your nails just have a pretty gold sheen.
5. Essie Nail Polish in Little Brown Dress. One of my favorite dark polishes of all time, this deep chocolate brown is so rich and classic, but the brown makes it just different enough.
{L to R in same order as described above}
A little note on formula: I got the Kiko polishes last year in Italy. Kiko is a really popular Italian makeup brand that's making its way to the U.S. There are currently a few stores on the east coast, and their US e-commerce site, Kiko Cosmetics, currently has free shipping for orders over $35. Their polishes and lipsticks are very good quality, and the price point is similar to the Sephora brand products, if not a little less.
