Top 14 Beauty Products of 2014

I really loved going through my favorite products of 2014.  I'm currently on a "no buy" for makeup, so  I liked that this post reminded me of all the great makeup I have (and shamed me thoroughly).  Without further ado, here are my favorite 14 products of 2014.top14of2014Skin1. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask $54.  I've only been using this since November, but this is an amazing product.  I use this every Sunday and it brightens and smooths my face pretty noticeably.  With the drier and colder weather finally here in California, I'm thinking about using this twice a week.  If you're looking for something to help with dull and lackluster skin, this is it.  {See previous review here}2. NARS Skin Multi-Action Hydrating Toner $32.  I've mentioned this before (here, here and here), so it should be no surprise that this made it to my 2014 favorites.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record, this is a great toner because it moisturizes and gently tones.Eyes3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz $21.  There are lots of brow pencils around, but I love this because it comes in tons of colors and there's a spoolie at on end of the pencil, so it's really convenient.4. Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long-Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in New Moon $36.  Cream eyeshadows are my favorite because they are so easy to apply and long-lasting.  Opinions differ regarding the value of luxury beauty products, but this is worth the price because the color is very unique and the quality is awesome.  I love sparkle, and this manages to deliver without looking juvenile.Cheeks5. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette $58.  I was soo skeptical about this because I didn't think it would work on darker skin tones, but it does.  Seriously.  Dim light is what I use almost daily to prevent my T-zone from getting too shiny without looking cakey.  It's also featured in my holiday tutorial.6. MAC Blush in Sweet As Cocoa $22.  This is another product that I've raved about before (here, here, here, here and here!) because it is so damn useful and really pretty.7. MAC Blush in Blushbaby $22.  I only discovered this about a month ago, and it's a very soft, neutral pink blush.  While Sweet As Cocoa adds a bit of warmth and color to my face, this provides a super soft flush that doesn't come across as blush at all.  It is so natural and really flattering.8. YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush in No. 10 $40.  You're probably seeing a trend with these neutral blush picks, but this is another easy to wear blush that's even more special because it's a great lipstick also.  This product is one of the most unique that I've come across and highly recommend it.Lips9. MAC Lipstick in Photo $16.  A few months ago I was totally on a 90s makeup kick so was on the hunt for a rich chocolate brown.  This color does not disappoint.  It's gorgeous.10. Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red $13.  So, this was a very recent discovery and I'm wondering how I lived without it :-).  This formula is so comfortable and produces such a vibrant shade of red.  I can't wait to try other colors.  Check it out in my holiday tutorial here.  Have you gotten the hint that I want you to check out my tutorial?Hair11. Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Moisture and Shine Leave-In Conditioner $12.  It's hard to find a product that moisturizes the hair without weighing it down.  Luckily, this product does just that.  And, it won't mess up sleek hair.  Love it.12. Phyto Subtil Elixir Intense Nutrition Shine Oil $38.  I've been using this for almost a year and really notice a difference when I put this on the night before washing my hair.  It's a deep conditioner that really softens my hair.  I've never been disappointed with Photo products, and I'm so glad I started using this.Nails13. Qtica Nail Half Time Polish Drying Accelerator $12.  I love to do my nails at home (though looking at my nails today wouldn't be any indication), but sometimes that drying time can be a killer.  These drops truly speed up drying time.  This is the only quick dry product that I've used that actually helps polish dry all the way through, not just the top coat.  Check it out.Tools14. Real Techniques Blush Brush $7.  I mentioned this in my holiday tutorial, and can't believe I was so late to the Real Techniques party.  This brush is awesome!  It's synthetic, so it's more hygienic, and it applies blush beautifully.  Plus, it's under $10.Shop these products in the widget below:[xyz-ihs snippet="2014-favorites"]
