Tom Ford Beauty Cream Color For Eyes (aka what a $40 eyeshadow looks like)
I love cream eyeshadows. They are so easy to apply and are more forgiving on dry patches than powder eyeshadow. The downside is that cream eyeshadows don't always last as long, and sometimes they can be too flat and dull. Luckily that's not the case with these Tom Ford beauties. Yes, each shadow is $42, which is crazy, I know. Whenever I'm considering buying an expensive beauty product, I really think about how unique it is in terms of color and formula, as well as how long it will last. Regarding cream shadows, I really don't think lower price formulas compare mainly because this product has shine, longevity and vibrancy. The swatches below are with a single pass of shadow, so a little goes a long way. The shadows apply quite easily (I often just use my fingers) and are long-lasting. In fact, after I applied the swatches to my arm, they lasted all day. Platinum is a warm silver, that is unlike most silver eyeshadows that I've seen. Silver shadow can look too stark or ashy on my skin, so I really appreciate that there is a bit of warmth, which makes the shadow much more wearable. Spice is a rich bronze that is super wearable across many shades. I could see this looking great with a dark red or brown lip during the holiday season, or with a peachy lip during the summer. Truly a versatile shade that's worth checking out. These are gorgeous shades that any lover of luxury beauty products should definitely check out. I picked these up at Neiman Marcus, but Nordstrom, Saks and Bergdorf Goodman also carry Tom Ford Beauty online.
