Sunday Riley UFO Oil

As you guys saw in my Nighttime Skincare Routine, the Sunday Riley UFO Oil is something that I like adding to my routine when my skin is acting up.  It's a dry oil that soaks into the skin and it's meant to clear congested pores and prevent breakouts.  Basically, this oil is calling your name if you have combination, acne-prone skin.[highlighted_p boxed="false" center="false"]Ingredients: Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle) Seed Oil, Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) Seed Oil, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Seed Oil, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Linum Usitatissimum (Flax) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Ethyl Linoleate, Hexylresorcinol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Salicylic Acid, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Neroli) Flower Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Citrus Paradisii (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Flower Extract, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract, Amino Esters-1, Amber Leaf Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Lawsonia Inermis (Henna) Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Leaf Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Pearl Powder, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Oil.[/highlighted_p]As you can tell by the ingredients, there are all kinds of oils in the mix.  The short of it is that they help moisturize your skin while the acne fighting ingredients, like tea tree oil and salicylic acid, do their thing.I've notice that Sunday Riley products are very strong, and my skin takes a while to adjust to using them.  When I first started using the UFO Oil, I was slathering it on nightly.  I was in the midst of hormonal breakouts and needed something to work immediately.  However, it was too much for my skin at first and I had some irritation.  Once I scaled back to every other night, I got much better results.I recommend easing into this and not using it with other acne treatments, at least in the beginning when your skin is still getting used to it.  I like that even though this is an oil, I'm able to use this in the morning without it making my skin greasy or having it disrupt my makeup.  Although this can definitely be worn all over the face, I prefer to only apply this to the areas where I tend to break out, like my chin and forehead. This is not a super fast acne remedy, but I have noticed that my breakouts go away more quickly.  I also notice that I haven't gotten any new acne scars once I started using this regularly. In addition to claiming to clear congested pores, the UFO Oil also claims to brighten the appearance of dark spots.  I have noticed that a dark spot is a little lighter since I started using the UFO Oil regularly.  Don't get me wrong, I didn't see drastic results, but I did see enough improvement for me to use this on dark spots even if it is a more subtle change.Basically, I think this is an effective treatment both for acne spots and the super annoying dark spots they can leave behind.  Since this is an oil, I didn't notice too much drying, and it feels very pampering when I apply it to my skin.  This is a pricey skincare item (available at Sephora, Barneys and Bloomingdales for $80), but since you need so little, this bottle will last a long time.
