Simply Scrub | Indie Beauty Review

A couple of weeks ago (ok, maybe a month ago) I got a package of Simply Scrub body scrubs to try out.  When I was first approached by the brand, I was super excited because I've been wanting to review more indie beauty brands.Don't get me wrong, I'll always love and feature my OG favorite brands like NARS and ColourPop, but I want to highlight smaller brands a little more.  So, first up is Simply Scrub. It's a 100% organic body scrub line and the scrubs are sooo good!  I decided to try the coffee and rose scrubs (for obvious reasons).

Simply Scrub Coffee Body Scrub

Simply Scrub Coffee Body Scrub. adiaadores.comAs you can see, the Coffee Body Scrub is mainly ground coffee (the other ingredients are coconut oil, dead sea mineral salt, tea tree oil, brown sugar, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, vitamin e oil, shea butter and honeycomb).  It has a super strong coffee smell that I love and it really leaves my skin smooth.  On the package, they say that you don't even need to add lotion to the areas that you scrub with this.  When I read that, I was like, "Yeah....ok, sure."  But truth is, after you rinse off the scrub, your skin feels super silky and smooth.  I was actually surprised because this is one of the more dry body scrubs that I've tried (meaning there's not a ton of liquid in the container), but somehow there's enough oil to hydrate your skin.  The best way to use this is on wet skin after you've already washed your body.  That way, the moisture on your skin helps you smooth and scrub.  I like that this scrub doesn't slip and slide off so there's not a lot of waste with this either.Another bonus about the coffee scrub is that the caffeine helps smooth and tighten your skin.  I mean, there's a reason that anti-cellulite products have caffeine in them!

Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub

Simply Scrub Rose Body Scrub. adiaadores.comThe Rose Body Scrub has a really nice rose scent (not overly sweet or fake at all).  In addition to rose petals it has avocado oil, brown sugar, sweet almond oil, shea butter, vitamin e, jojoba oil, coconut oil and tea tree oil. The coffee scrub is more gritty and more intense than this one.  That shouldn't surprise you since obviously coffee grounds are more rough than rose petals.  So this Rose Body Scrub is good for a more gentle exfoliation.  It still left my skin super soft though, but it's just better for areas that don't need that intense scrub.I'm glad I got the chance to try these out and I'll definitely use these all the way up.  It feels good to use natural products and support an up-and-coming brand, you know?  I'll just continue patting myself on the back, and you can go ahead and check out Simply Scrub.  The 3.5 oz jars are $16 each and there's free shipping on orders over $40.The items featured in this post were provided free for review consideration.  As always, all opinions are my own.  I keep it real!
