New York: A Little Beauty Haul + Aladdin

It's been a while since I've posted and if you follow me on Instagram, then you already know why.  I'm in the midst of a bathroom remodel and it has me all stressed.  I've moved out of my bedroom into the guest bedroom, so I can't find anything.  And there's dust everywhere. So, to distract me from the mess that is my condo, I decided to do a little recap of my most recent trip to NYC.  It was probably my best trip to New York.  I've easily been to New York 10 times in the last 2 years, so that's saying a lot.I think when I first moved back to California, it felt so weird visiting New York when I'd called it home for so long. But there was something about this trip that felt just right.  Part of it was the fact that I got to stay for seven full days!  Usually my trips are just 3 or 4 days, so it was awesome to finally have a longer trip.  Also, the weather was incredible - mild weather and actually some pretty "warm" days too.I could go on and on about how much I love New York, but I know y'll are here for the makeup, so here's my New York beauty haul...My New York home and beauty haul. adiaadores.comYou'd think that I'd be able to stay away from Sephora given there are so many good places to shop for makeup (like Bergdorfs!), but alas, I'm weak.It started out innocently enough; I was just there to help my best friend find a nude lipstick.  But next thing you know, I'm swatching away and walking to the cash register.  I bought a Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #21 Pretty Beige.  Despite the name, this is actually a nice cool toned brown that gives me that "edgy nude" look without totally washing me out. Here's a selfie that I snapped one day at the office (oops)...Wearing Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Pretty BeigeThe other Sephora lip product that I picked up is the Rouge Lip Tint in Orange.  The formula of the Rouge Lip Tint is incredible!  It goes on kind of wet but it dries to a semi-sheer, matte lip tint.  And it lasts ALL DAY.  The orange in the tube looks intimidating, but it's such a wearable formula.  If you've been wanting to try a bright lip color but are really more of a neutral lip lover, def check this out.  It's such an easy and low-maintenance way to wear a pop of color.I also picked up a mini size of the Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydrating Spray.  Even though the weather was really nice, my skin almost always feels dry when I travel.  I think part of it is the plane ride, but I'm usually not sleeping as well or drinking as much water either.  Anyways, this little spray is good before or after makeup, or throughout the day.The best shopping I did, though, was in ABC Carpet & Home.  It's funny because when my mom would visit me in college, she'd drag me to the store and I'd be so over it.  But now, I love it.  There are about 8 or 9 floors of everything you can imagine for the home.  There are incredible rugs and silk sheets and gorgeous dishes.  I'd never really spent much time on the first floor, which has jewelry, candles and beauty.  This trip I changed that and covered every inch.[row padding_top="" padding_bottom="" bg="" bg_light="true" appear="false"] [column size="1-2" appear="false"]ABC Carpet & Home - one of the best stores in New York. adiaadores.com[/column] [column size="1-2" appear="false"]ABC Carpet & Home - one of the best stores in New York. adiaadores.com[/column] [/row]I picked up two candles by Linnea's Lights.  I got the scents Cashmere and Rose.  Rose is a really pretty scent that's not too intense or cloying, and Cashmere has herbal, patchouli, vanilla and lime notes.  It's a very soft and feminine scent that's not too sweet.  I also love that these candles come with matches in the lid.  I feel like I can never find matches when I need them, yet they're stashed all around my condo.I also bought a new mineral sunscreen (never not searching for the perfect sunscreen) by Pratima.  Pratima is an ayurvedic skincare line and this sunscreen is supposed to be both all-natural and totally sheer.  We shall see.The last beauty item is this organic sanitizer by Intelligent Nutrients.  This is actually for my mom because she always carries hand sanitizer but doesn't like the super harsh and drying Purel ones.  I can tell you that it smells great and it's actually an all purpose sanitizer, so you can use it on any surface (like a yoga mat or airplane tray). While I loved the shopping, I have to say that the highlight of my trip was seeing Aladdin.  I was OBSESSED with this movie as a kid and it was so special to see it on stage.  I actually had tears in my eyes during some parts because I was was just so impressed and moved by the performances.Best part of New York - Broadway. adiaadores.comAnd just because I felt like such a blogger taking these photos...here are some pictures that my best friend snapped of me just strolling super casually and naturally around the Lower East Side...[row padding_top="" padding_bottom="" bg="" bg_light="true" appear="false"] [column size="1-2" appear="false"][/column] [column size="1-2" appear="false"][/column] [/row]I'm working on my content for the next couple of weeks and have new highlighters, Glossier Cloud Paints, Bioderma skincare and Burberry liquid lipsticks on my To Do lists.  What should I cover first?? Let me know in the comments!
