NARS Hardwired Eyeshadows | Metallic. Glittery. Gorgeous.

Alright, so the new NARS hardwired eyeshadows are gorgeous!  Insanely metallic and glittery but not in an annoyingly glittery way.  They are what eyeshadow dreams are made of.  Seriously, I am in LOVE with these eyeshadows.NARS Hardwired eyeshadows. It all started out so innocently.  A few days ago I was scrolling through Instagram and saw Karen's picture of these shadows. I just stopped and stared.  I am a huge Nars fan and I'm currently going through a metallic phase (have you seen my latest video on Colourpop's Ultra Metallic Lip?).  So of course I was intrigued.  Then I hopped over to her blog and read her glowing review and I knew I had to try these for myself.  Next thing I know, I'm leaving Sephora that very same day with 4 shades - StudEarthshineOuter Limits and Pygar.  There are 6 in all, so I also congratulated myself on my discipline and self-restraint.NARS hardwired eyeshadowsOuter Limits was released last year as part of a limited edition collection and is a mix of peach, pink and gold iridescent glitter in a semi-sheer peach base.  This shade is the most glittery of the Nars Hardwired eyeshadows, with the glitter pieces being more pronounced.  It reminds me of a glitter version of MAC's Motif eyeshadow or Tom Ford's Sphinx cream eyeshadow (I have a review of Tom Ford cream eyeshadows in this post).Earthshine is an iridescent cool-toned pink and it's so pretty.  When I swatched this in the store, it looked more lavender/gray, but in the photos in this post, it looks much more pink.Stud is another re-promoted shade and it's a cool-toned gray/taupe.  This is probably the most subtle of the shades, but it's still really metallic.  I don't really buy gray eyeshadows because I think they make me look tired and old.  However, this shadow has more depth and and the glitter adds light and sparkle to the eyes, so I'm happy I made the exception and bought this eyeshadow.Pygar is a really unique green/gold shade.  It's described on Sephora as "gold lamé" and it's a very complex color.  Sometimes you see more green, and other times you see more gold.  This is a really cool color that's different from anything that I have.  If you like gold but sometimes feel like it's too yellow for you, then you need this color.Since all of the Nars Hardwired eyeshadows are so metallic, I think they'll look very different on each person depending on undertones and lighting.  I love shadows like these though because I feel like you really get to play around with them.  Depending on other shadows that you pair with them, you'll get a different look, which is pretty dope in my opinion.  Now, onto the swatches:

I have several pictures that were taken in bright sunlight.  I hope that these pictures show the depth and complexity of the shades, but honestly, pictures can't really do them justice.  Since they're so metallic, it's hard to capture the color accurately on camera.nars hardwired eyeshadowsnars hardwired eyeshadowsAnother one...nars hardwired eyeshadowsAs you can see from the swatches Outer Limits is not that pigmented and it's much more glittery.  The other shades are more finely milled and metallic.  These shadows were hard to capture on camera, so if you're intrigued, run to Sephora!  They're limited edition and Outer Limits doesn't seem to be available online anymore.nars hardwired eyeshadowsThese Nars Hardwired Eyeshadows are available now (along with 2 other shades - Lunar and Parallax) at Sephora for $25.  So, are you buying?
