Maybelline 24karat Nudes Palette | Easy Drugstore Look
This post is sponsored by Maybelline. All opinions expressed are my own.I'm really excited to share this easy makeup look featuring the Maybelline New York 24karat Nudes Palette with you guys today. We all know that there are some good deals to be found at the drugstore. But sometimes it's hard to find something without being able to play with the products in store.I recently featured an all drugstore holiday makeup look on my YouTube channel, and I almost always use drugstore mascara. So, when I was presented with the opportunity to test out some goodies from Maybelline, I was happy to give them a try.First up is the Maybelline New York The 24karat Nudes Palette. This palette has 12 shades with light, dark, matte and sparkly shades, so it's really versatile. I actually don't remember if I've ever tried a drugstore eyeshadow palette, so I was curious on how this would work.As you can see in the closeup, the top row has lighter shades and the bottom row has richer colors. The shades in the top row are easy colors to sweep over the eyes for a quick makeup look. The first shade is a pretty shimmery peachy/pink color and that is so pretty all over the lid.The bottom shades are gorgeous, and the black at the far right has the prettiest gold sparkles throughout. I don't think the camera was able to capture the complexity of that shade! I was seriously surprised.Often, in palettes like this, the darker shades are less impressive, but that wasn't the case here. The dark shades, especially the shimmers, were so buttery and creamy. There is one light shade that was a bit chalky, but overall I am so impressed with the 24karat Nudes Palettes.I've tried the Colossal Spider Eyes Mascara, so I was expecting to like the Colossal Big Shot Volume Express Mascara, and I did :-). I really like the brush because it grabs all of my eyelashes and coats them with mascara without any clumping. While the Spider Eyes mascara creates dramatic, clumped lashes, the Big Shot Volume Express Mascara creates fluffy lashes. I think it's such a good everyday mascara because it adds definition and volume but it's not over the top.Last, I got to test out the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Ink Pen Eye Liner. It's a nice rich black with a thin tip that draws a nice sharp line.Overall, I'm pretty impressed with these Maybelline goodies, and I'm sure you'll be seeing them again in a monthly favorites or makeup tutorial soon.[cta btn_text="Subscribe To My YouTube Channel" btn_url="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtYKxLzGXw0Mvn5KlS9ViGQ" bg="" bg_light="true" appear="false"][/cta]For this look, I just did a wash of the gold shade all over the lids, and then I used a tiny bit of the brown shimmery shade in the outer corner. I did not use a primer because I wanted to see how this lasted on bare skin. I did see some creasing by the end of the day, but I think the color wore well. Here's the info on my makeup look:
