Glossier Cloud Paint | Demo + My Thoughts

I finally have a new video up on my YouTube channel and it's a little demo / swatch video of Glossier Cloud Paint.  The last time I did something like this was way back when ColourPop came out with their Ultra Metallic Lip (video in this post).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiZv3uLXXfE

You guys know that I love natural makeup and cream blush is so good for that.  I've mentioned the H&M cream blush a few times, and then I used (and loved) the Lancome cushion blush recently.  But I'm always looking for quick and easy makeup, so when the Glossier Cloud Paint came out, I snatched up all 4 shades immediately.

I've used lots of cream blushes before but this one is pretty different.  The texture of the Glossier Cloud Paint is really unique.  It feels like foundation and just blends right into the skin.  I actually don't even have to rub my face at all; I just tap until it's all melded into my skin.I love that it's not streaky or patchy at all either.

about the colors...

The shades were inspired by sunsets in New York and they're all watercolor washes of color.

glossier cloud paint in dusk

Wearing glossier cloud paint in dusk. adiaadores.com. shop glossier.com/adia for a discount!Dusk is a neutral, medium brown with pink undertones.  On my skin tone, this gives a barely there flush.  I think it's nice to add some shape and dimension to the face rather than an actual color.  If you're my skintone or darker, I think there are probably better options for that natural blush look.  Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge in Milk Chocolate is the perfect super natural cheek color (and you can wear it on the lips too). Here are the details on the makeup I'm wearing in this picture:Glossier Skin Tint in DeepNARS Soft Matte Concealer in AmandeGlossier Stretch Concealer in DeepGlossier Boy Brow in Clear*Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara*Tom Ford Cream Color in SpiceMac Liptensity in Toast and Butter

glossier cloud paint in beam

I think this is a nice everyday color.  It brightens the face without going over the top.  The  thing I really like about these blushes is that you can still see your skin underneath the color.  The formula is really unique because you can layer for more color but somehow the formula never gets totally opaque.  I'm wearing Lancome Juicy Shakers in Apri-Cute* on the lips btw.

glossier cloud paint in puff

Wearing glossier cloud paint in puff. adiaadores.com. shop glossier.com/reps/adia for a discount!Puff turned out to be the surprise favorite.  Now when I heard "cotton candy pink" I was super skeptical.  Cool-toned baby pinks are rarely #browngirlfriendly.  They can look ashy and straight up fake.  But somehow this color works.  I love how it gives my skin that babyfaced/angelic look.  I paired it with one of my favorite lip glosses ever - ColourPop Bestie and definitely see myself wearing this combo all spring.

glossier cloud paint in haze

Wearing glossier cloud paint in haze. adiaadores.com. shop glossier.com/reps/adia for a discount.Haze is such a wearable berry pink.  I mean it's intense here (I used 2 layers) but my skin is still peeking through.  I think for darker skintones, this is a must have.  Such a pretty color that adds so much life to the face.  And don't be scared of this color.  The formula is so easy to wear, so you don't have to worry about overdoing it.  I had to do a berry lip to match this blush, so I mixed Buxom lipgloss in Berry Bramble* and Anastasia Beverly Hills lipgloss in Tango.
