Field Trip - Bite Beauty Lab

A few weeks ago, I finally had the opportunity to visit the Bite Beauty Lab in New York City.  My best friend had told me about it months ago, but I'd never managed to visit until just recently, and it was such a treat!  This cute little shop is tucked away on Prince Street in SoHo and it's basically a makeup lover's dream.  You get to choose the color, finish, scent and packaging of your lipstick and it's ready in about 15 minutes.  This was so much fun and I can't wait to go back and get another color.bite-beauty-lab-custom-lipstickI went in wanting a slightly sheer, coral/orange color.  It was like 90 degrees that day and I was feeling super summer-y, so I discounted the fact that I have like 3 or 4 other orange lipsticks.  I used Bite Beauty's sheer creme texture and the cherry scent.  I chose the cherry scent because it smells exactly like the Bonnie Bell cherry lip balm that I loved as a kid, lol.bite-beauty-custom-lipstick-coralNow, I fully intended to only purchase one lipstick, but I was having so much fun that I had to get another one.  For my second lipstick, I decided I wanted a slightly pink nude lipstick.  I love nude lipsticks (see a recent post on a great nude lip combo here) and figured that since it's so hard to find the perfect nude lipstick, I might as well make one myself.  I love this shade because it's the perfect "my lips but better" color.  And the formula is so creamy and moisturizing that I could just wear this every day to add some polish to a simple look.bite-beauty-custom-lipstick-nude2I'm so happy with my choices and highly recommend this little field trip if you can make it to the store.  Each lipstick was $36 so you're definitely paying a premium for the experience (regular Bite lipsticks are $27), but for a lipstick lover like myself, I felt it was worth it.bite-beauty-custom-lipstick-swatchesHope you all have a fantastic weekend!
