My Everyday Blushes For Fall | In Rotation
This everyday blushes post has been a long time in the making. I think it's because I'm not really a blush person. Yeah, I wear blush everyday, but it's not something that I get excited about. And I definitely don't buy blushes that often. So, you may be wondering why I'm writing this post. The truth is that blush really wakes up the face and definitely ties the whole makeup look together. I have 4 everyday blushes here that are really pretty for fall. They're basically neutrals that you could reach for no matter what you're wearing on the rest of your face.First up is the Zoeva Luxe Color Blush in Burning Up. I've mentioned it before a few times because this is probably what I reach for the most. It's matte, smooth and blendable. Plus it looks very natural on my skintone. I featured it in my Zoeva Haul Review video along with a few other things that I got from Zoeva earlier this year. This is one of those blushes that I wear when I don't want to think about if it'll match my eyeshadow or lipstick. I also think it'll work on lots of different skin tones because you can layer it for more intensity, or apply with a light hand.Next is an OG favorite - MAC Cosmetics blush in Sweet As Cocoa. If you've been hanging with me for a while, then you probably remember this from my YouTube channel. I used to use this in almost every single tutorial. It's a warm copper/brown/red with very subtle shimmer. It's like one step up from the super-natural Burning Up. On brown skin, it will look very natural but since there's a little bit of shimmer, it's not totally plain. Both Burning Up and Sweet As Cocoa are warm neutrals, but I do have some variety in my blush collection. My next two favorites are from NARS (can't talk about blush without mentioning NARS).The NARS Dual Intensity blush in Sexual Content* became a surprise favorite. I first reviewed this in a guest post on Makeup and Beauty Blog, and when I saw it, I thought it would be way too light for my skin tone. It's a very cool toned pink/mauve blush. It just seemed too pale. But once I started using it, I LOVED the soft pink shimmer. It's super pretty and really looks good with mauve lipstick. Unfortunately, this isn't available, but the left side of the Fervor Dual-Intensity Blush Duo is pretty similar.
By the way, have you seen my Mauve Makeup Tutorial?
Anyways, this is a very pretty pink blush that's not too over-the-top. Definitely no Barbie pink vibes here. Also, I pretty much only use the right side of the blush duo.Last, is a blush that definitely gives me fall vibes. NARS Montenegro cream blush is a really bold burgundy. It's super pigmented, so I apply it with a light hand. Here are some swatches:And of course I have some pictures of me wearing these blushes:
Zoeva Luxe Color Blush in Burning Up
Burning Up is definitely the most natural looking blush that I own. Works with any lipstick or eyeshadow.
MAC Cosmetics Blush in Sweet As Cocoa
I really like how Sweet As Cocoa warms up and brightens my face.
NARS Cosmetics Dual-Intensity Blush in Sexual Content
Love how soft this blush is!
NARS Cosmetics blush in Montenegro
This blush is a little dramatic, but I still think it's super pretty. And it would look amazing on darker skin tones. Unfortunately, this is unavailable, but this Bobbi Brown blush in Chocolate Cherry is similar. Also, in case you're curious, here are the details on the rest of my makeup:
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation in Amber (Review in this post.)
- Zoeva Love Color Blush in Burning Up*
- MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Spirit (One of my **favorite** lipsticks at the moment. I also used it in my Everyday Fall Makeup Tutorial.)
- Glossier Boy Brow in Black
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara in Black
I hope you guys liked my everyday blushes roundup. I got a little off schedule with posting with my birthday and Thanksgiving this week, but I will be back to my (pretty much) normal schedule of Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday posts starting tomorrow. November Favorites video will be up tomorrow!
