90s Inspired Makeup Look
Typically, I am all about glow and shimmer and shine, but lately I've been loving the 90s inspired makeup look. I love a shimmery eyeshadow and a gleaming highlight and some glossy lips, but lately I've been drawn to matte makeup looks taken straight from the 90s. Here's my version of the classic 90s makeup look that's been my go-to for work.Products Used:Face: Dior 'Diorskin Nude' BB Creme Broad Spectrum in 004 Dark, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (review coming soon) all over the face to set and MAC Blush in Raizin, a great natural shade.Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Layin Low on the lid with a little bit of MAC Sculpting Powder in Definitive in the crease. MAC In Extreme Dimension Mascara, Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude and Anastasia Beverly Hills Beverly Hills 'Brow Wiz' Mechanical Brow Pencil in Chocolate are some of my must have products. Even if I'm not wearing any other makeup, these three items make me look awake and really open my eyes.Lips: MAC Lipstick in Siss and Lip Pencil in Mahogany is my favorite lip combo these days. They create the perfect warm brown/nude shade that goes with everything.Lately, I've been loving the Dior BB cream. It provides light/medium coverage, blends really nicely, has a matte finish and SPF 10. It provides a bit more coverage than my NARS tinted moisturizer, but it definitely has a natural finish and it lasts all day. My only issue with this product is that it only comes in four colors and I use the darkest shade, so it's not the most universal product. That being said, it's a great BB cream and I'd recommend it for people looking for light coverage that provides a natural, matte finish. The Hourglass palette is great with a matte foundation because it adds luminosity to the skin, without losing the matte finish. I'd been weary of wearing matte foundation because I didn't want my face to look too flat, so I really like how this palette prevents that from happening. I'm still testing this out, but so far I like it.Happy Friday!
