It’s been pretty warm in San Francisco the last few days, and it’s supposed to heat up even more by the weekend, which is awesome in my opinion. However, when dealing with an indian summer, deciding what to wear can be a little tricky. Sure, it’s warm enough to wear a sundress, but a little voice inside my head insists that it’s fall so I should be wearing a sweater instead. Plus, the stores are full of fall clothes, and the only items even remotely “summer-y” are soo picked over and tired that it’s not even funny. Enter the trench dress – a piece so versatile that I’m wondering why it took me so long to buy one.
On warm days, I can wear it as is, and as it cools down, I can layer a turtleneck under the dress. Or, I can wear it as a super chic vest over a tee (or sweater) and leggings. The options are endless and in the Bay Area, this is something that can be worn year round.
