Best Skincare Products for Combination, Sensitive Skin

I had a tough time choosing the best skincare products of 2016.  I tried so many products!  Seriously, I’m constantly tweaking my skincare routine and trying something new.  But the products that made this video are ones that I have repurchased and will always keep in my stash.

You don’t make the “best skincare” list by being just OK.  These are my ride or die, desert island, holy grail, must have products.

Here’s a list of my picks:

best cleansers of 2016

I go through cleansers pretty quickly (mainly because I like to double cleanse).  When I’m wearing makeup, I like to use an oil cleanser to remove all of my makeup.  Then I use another cleanser to actually clean my skin.  Last, because I’m extra, I like to use a micellar water to remove any residue.

These cleansers definitely deserve a spot on my best skincare list:

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil*

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser

Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser (shop with me using this link to get 20% off your first purchase).  I like to use this cleanser in the morning or in the evening on no makeup days.

best toners and facial mists of 2016

Lush Tea Tree Water Toner

Glossier Soothing Skin Mist

NARS Multi-Action Hydrating Toner.  I’ve been using this in the morning instead of a traditional cleanser lately and really like how it preps my skin for makeup.

best masks of 2016

Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask

Boscia Charcoal Pudding*.  I just reviewed this mask in a recent empties post.  I’ll buy another once I use up some more of my masks.

Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask.  THE BEST mask for acne.  Used it tonight.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask.  This mask is a travel staple because it soothes my skin.

Hadalabo Anti-Aging Sheet Mask.  Ignore the “anti-aging” label.  This is your go-to for prepping and plumping your skin for special occasions.

best moisturizers of 2016

Glossier Priming Moisturizer.  A lighter everyday moisturizer.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.  A richer, but non-greasy, moisturizer.

best serums and oils of 2016

Avon Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum*.  Full review in this post.  I am so pleasantly surprised and how well this works.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.  My favorite oil ever and I love how glowy my skin looks in the morning after using this.

Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Calming.  I think this is such an underrated product, but it works!  I just add a few drops to my moisturizer whenever my skin needs some TLC.

best sunscreen and eye cream of 2016

Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream

Tarte Tarteguard SPF 30

I have the video showing up top, but in case you’re having trouble, here’s a link to the video.
