Some of my fondest childhood memories are of me sitting in front of my vanity playing with my mom’s makeup.  From an early age, I was fascinated by makeup and its power as a tool for self-expression and pampering.

Fast-forward twenty-something years, and I found myself stuck in a rut as New York corporate attorney.  I craved a way to express myself and explore my creativity.  I turned to cooking (and canning!) and makeup as a way to do something special for myself.

After living in New York for the last 10+ years, I returned to my home in the Bay Area to embark on a new journey.  I’m super excited to explore the beauty of the Bay Area and can’t wait to share with you my thoughts, obsessions and discoveries about travel, food, home decor, fashion and my first love – beauty.

I have such wonderful memories of you as a little girl. I am not surprised by your obsessions. You are so much your mama’s daughter. your mom is an excellent cook, always had great taste in furniture /art, fashionable and lovely. I remember she always had you and Cemal looking great.
I am so happy for you Adia. You are absolutely beautiful. Love your blog.
May God continue to bless you. Love, Irma
